| it could be a nice end to the season....no 1 team is actually THAT good are they?
The pressure is well and truly off the players... coach gone, new coach not in yet... Meanwhile we are hitting some form in the key positions on the pitch.
im not saying we are going to win the GF.. but we could surprise a few.

It's beyond a joke now. It's like the MRP are on a commission for everything they find to charge someone for. Super League is bad enough as a product now without those lot spending their weekend forensically searching for things to ban players for. Some of the statistical anomolies from it are bizarre as well. Salford just got four bans from one game, Huddersfield have had one ban all season. (Despite 7 cards for foul play)
What should happen is the referee and both teams put a report in. The ref reports on the incidents he punished, ie cards and can note any he was unsure on can be looked at. Outside of that, the MRP should only be able to bring something up if it's serious and grade D upwards. They're banning players for anything that could be considered a penalty and there is a huge difference between what the MRP believe to be the correct punishment and what the referees do.
The MRP are effectively saying that there should have been four red cards for Salford against Wigan. Utterly bizarre stuff. No ref in the world would send any of them off, so why is it a ban?

| Let's be realistic refs & those watching live games can never be certain what has happened with one quick view. So the refs dip out of tough decisions. If you think it is bad this year wait until next year when all games are on video. The RFL cannot choose to ignore what they see. Just got to get used to it cos it isn't going to change.

No, Cullen and the entire panel need to be sacked and the process needs to be changed. It's not acceptable for the sport to self harm itself like this. The majority of the bans this week are borderline penalties. They should only be banning players if it's worthy of a red card on the field.
Have a look at Redvee's post on Twitter at what Moses Mbye got his Grade A charge for.

On a more serious note, what was the George Williams dangerous contact? Don’t remember him doing anything remotely saucy?'"
That sounds like a very ambitious coupon they had riding on our result.

| If i thought a sport was as corrupt as Saddened believes RL to be I would definitely stop watching it, and I would definitely DEFINITELY stop posting on opposition forums about it.

I actually agree on the "process needs to be changed" point.
I think all bar the most serious of offenses should be dealt with on the pitch. Standardise bans for reds and perhaps cumulative yellow cards.
We're placed at an advantage this week while Hull KR, for example, are facing a team (Huddersfield) with no bans. Plenty of times it's not worked in our favour, but it's not a fair system.

Or players eventually realise there is no hiding place and start behaving accordingly? This is the part that Saddened doesn’t seem to comprehend, some of their players are serial offenders and therefore are punished more severely.

They are playing professional rugby league. Things will happen. It's not possible to be entirely well behaved, players slip, players get fatigued, players step and change their height quickly. Fouls happen and will happen no matter how harshly you punish them. People get high tackles and late hits in touch rugby, there is defintely not an issue with player behaviour generally in Super League.
The dig at Saints simply isn't true either. Saints are more no indisciplined than any other side in Super League. We get more bans because we get more bans, nothing else. Look at Huddersfield, one ban all season. Seven cards, two for blatant cannonball tackles, one red for a blatant strike to the face with an elbow, no bans. They don't get any bans and will always have a fantastic record, because they never ban them, they don't even charge them for cannonball tackles they got carded for . They commit as many high tackles, crushers, cannonballs, strikes as any team in Super League. Bevan French is an interesting one too. Two grade B charges for the same thing within two months and no ban, how does that happen? Were Salford really four times more indisciplined against Wigan than Huddersfield have been all season?
It's causing a noticable impact to the quality of the product on the field. No other sport bans it's players for such minor nonsense as we do. It can't be blamed on the court case either, some of the stuff they are banning players for wouldn't even get given as a penalty on the field and doesn't impact the head. They've just gone way too far with it and created the trial by social media farce we get every week now. The RFL acknowledged the impact of banning players on the quality of the product themselves at the start of the season. They were supposed to be moving to a system where minor bans were largely replaced with fines. The MRP hasn't worked and it needs to be replaced with one that reflects a similar stance to the one the referees take. There were no bad incidents this round and no red cards. The MRP thinks there should have been seven red cards this week. And you don't think there's a problem with the MRP?

| Copied this from Redvee I’ve on.y just stopped laughing
Someone has posted elsewhere that Hull, Castleford and now Salford have had players banned prior to playing Warrington and they (Warrington) have won all 3 games, who did Paul Cullen use to play for.
Warrington play Salford next, Whilst we play Leigh on Friday prior to playing Warrington the week after, if that observation is accurate we should be getting a couple of bans next weekend.

Wow, they should revisit all of the last 4 seasons band and then they'll realise the preferential treatment they have had for so long. Imagine having a season as bad as we have had though and knocking them out of the playoffs to extend the hoodoo, absolutely priceless. There isn't a team I'd like to play less at old Trafford though, worst team we could possibly lose a game to.

This wasn't me btw, before someone credits me with it. Cas also had three players banned though. If we do next week, they'll definitely be onto something. Super League is like Scooby Doo at the moment, at the heart of it all is Paul Cullen in a mask.
