| So, whilst Wigan sign up Leeming, Walters & Chan, 3 young players who are already part of SL, we chase aged Aussies who may or may not stay here, let alone perform.
Our scouting & recruitment really does need sorting out.

If we had signed any of them I would be feeling a little 'meh'. We have Walker so don't need Leeming the other two fall in the 'project' signing for me. Surely Wigan have better coming through their own youth system? Chan I haven't seen enough of to comment on though to be fair.

To be fair the core of our pack is all homegrown Smithies, Havard, Shorrocks and Byrne.
Powell and Farrell have been cornerstones but are coming to the end. Leeming is likely Powell replacement.
Brad O’Neill, Junior Nsemba and Harvie Hill all between 18-20 years old and will continue to get opportunities
Leeming fills a need while O’Neill develops.
Walters fills the hole left by losing McDonnell, Nicholson and Pearce Paul.
Chan is a project signing.
Can’t rely on the academy to fill every hole IMO.

| Mr Snoodle is spot on. Powell expected our over 30s pack to do the business which may happen yet. Our own young forwards just don't seem to get the chance as they do elsewhere.

Mate, you do know Daryl Clark has signed for Saints and we've just signed Brad Dwyer as his replacement.

By the time the club win anything Old Wizzy could be delivering the match ball on a mobility scooter.

Not commenting on our own recruitment until I see all the players we are bringing in, of course Clark out Dwyer in is terrible if this was our only transfer business for 2024 - but that isn't the case.
On Clark going, I've already commented on it while it would be nice to keep him on, it's likely Walker was expecting to be first choice 9 to stay and the club have decided it wasn't a good use of cap space to pay for Clark as well - I can understand that call, even if it's disappointing to see Clark move on. Dwyer for Clark is obviously not a fair comparison, Clark is moving to Saints to be no.1 hooker, we are bringing Dwyer in to spell Walker when needed. I'm not exactly pleased we are signing Dwyer, but then I wasn't lauding some average signings from Wigan as evidence of our failings. We have plenty of cap space to use and our priorities are prop, back row and centre, Dwyer is a squad filler.

That would be a surprise (if true) mind you he looked really happy in the UK so why not I'd be disappointed if we were chasing him or his ilk

Maybe the beaches are better in Leeds, other than that I wouldn’t expect him to last a season.

Following the usual logic on this board, whereby anything Leeds, Wigan or Saints do is a genius move, this looks like a fantastic signing with Warrington nowhere to be seen as usual.
