I forgot him in the mass of quality.
Does he deserve his place? Yes, absolutely.

| Is it just me that's not convinced by Myler? I know TS knows what he is doing but Myler has not been impressive this year for Salford. He played well for england in the friendly but he was playing in a team that wasnt really challenged. He's doesnt seem to be the class that some people think he is?

| Just wondering where that 's gone who was saying Salford are biding their time, waiting for the best offer as there were two clubs interested, one of those not being Wigan.
I'm happy, he is an excellent young player who can become one of the best in the league under Smith.

Rogues Gallery?
He's probably around somewhere, spouting about how many penalties Higham and Westwood give away during a game.

| Looking at that team, Bridge is most likely to get dropped as theres no place for him in either the halfs or centres.
Possible backline 2010:
Mathers
Hicks
Atkins
King
Riley
Briers
Myler

200k is too much imo for Myler really hope thats not what we have paid, it will come out though but if he does the business for the next 6 years it will be worth the gamble, Johnson is going and Rau don't know who else.

Just interested in how you are measuring "worth" or value in the deal. If he goes on to play hundreds of games, becomes our talisman, and leads us to many a final, the £200k could be of extreme value.
Equally, if he fails, and only lasts, say, a year, it may well seem money wasted. But until he plays for us, there is little value debating his cost.

We'll never win trophies with one trick Mick in the side.

| All very good signings for Warrington, in this day and age if you want quality you have to pay top dollar and if Warrington are willing to do that, fair play to them.
Just a quick question, has Bridge been given a new contract yet? Because looking at the strength of your squad for next year, he might struggle.

Possible backline 2010Bridge is one of the last players i'd drop, he's been a revelation at centre this season.

It's a semi-risk. Richie Myler is a talent for sure. He has had a quiet year towards the back end of the season but he has been playing for the second worst team in super league. With the forwards Warrington have we could see a lot more. That must be Tony Smith and Simon Moran's thinking.
His statistics in comparison to Tomkins are fairly similar apart from Myler has ten more try assists than Tomkins and is a year younger. It's a good deal for Warrington.
I think this announcement has indicated to me who Tony Smith sees as the next England centre and halfback in Myler and Atkins.

And that's why I think it's bang out of order that a club coach is in charge of the national side, who ever the coach is he should be totally unbiased and attached to no other clubs.
