That may be the case but for the first 60 minutes they were certainly a handful and looked more lively and inventive than we did. Great character and spirit from our guys to stick at it and work their way back into the game. Something we have not seen for a few years now. Great to see.

I felt we were in with a shout but I wasn’t particularly confident, I saw it as a bit of a test of character to be fair we came through.
I have to say if Leigh play like that consistently and they get more bodies back they will get some decent results.

It’s bad enough when you have one former player coming back with the opposition, a whole team of them is a bit of a nightmare.

Have to give credit to some of the posters from Leigh. Definitely a class above the input from our competitors from Wigan and St Helens. Fair minded, little evidence of trolling or boasting and realistic. Makes a refreshing change.

I agree but to be even handed, I don't think that our regular contributors from Wigan are so bad (now I've done it) and they tend to keep it their game focused rather than general sniping.

Fair point though I may have been swayed by several Wigan posters on X who, I can assure you, are on the same level as Saints posters on here.

thats evolution of forums and social media, most of the horrid and belligerent who can't self censor (or like being censored) to a reasonable level buggered off to twitter or fb where you can pretty much say what you want (and in fb's case pretty much embarrass yourself in public) without recourse.

To be honest there are one or two decent posters on the Wire fb sites but if I want a decent discussion I tend to come here. Fb tends to have posters who just want to say a short - often not considered - comment. And dont get me started on X.

I cant’t get over some of the opinions aired on Redvee, I don’t know if it is because it is their own site with relatively few visitors from other teams but some of them are full of hatred and aren’t afraid to reveal it.

Just watched the game again after & I see it totally differently. Leigh have got some very lively players and really stretched us & will be so frustrated at the result as they could have put us away.
They are definitely not a team we "should be kicking crap out of". I have seen Lam play better but Moylan is a bit of class. They have had plenty of injuries & when they get Ipapi & Asiati back they will trouble anyone.

I agree with your summary and sentiments Smiffy, as for me, Leigh are much better than the league position suggests. Having said that, I was hoping that we could have controlled the game for a larger amount of time than we did, which made me relieved that we found a way to get the win, with playing some good entertaining rugby. Two points welcomely earned and room for improvement.

I expected a close game with Leigh after the lads celebrated after beating Saints.
I also would have expected Wire to put 30+ on Leigh if they were playing again this week.

Yep the result v Catalans puts the game v Wire in perspective. Especially as Cats are the one team to beat us so far. Leigh are a handful when their best boys are on the field.
