| There were 2 games that a draw would have been a good result.
Poor execution of DG when a kick to the touch and a point would have kept us 3rd regardless.
However the performance was more important than the result.

You have to go for the win though, sure a draw would be better than a 2 point loss but better technique and execution we are a point up with the ball back, saints won't get another chance at us. Its shocking that they don't just give themselves more time by dropping back a bit further. The attempts have been pathetic recently, not just tonight. It's a far cry from the sandow drop goal against Salford in 2016, such a shame that he couldn't sort himself out, then again if he wasn't at least part liability he wouldn't have been here in the first place.
I want to see us better at getting over the line, the lack of confidence in scoring tries is a bit of a concern.

It was only a small gear that was needed to reply with 14 unanswered points. For me Steve Price bottled it kept going for the 2 point penalties, he looked scared stiff towards the end.

| I thought that the Saints supporters were both knowledgeable and gracious tonight. I hope that they win the double, its much deserved. They are by far the best supporters in SL. Landlord, another double whiskey over here..

Disagree its a result buiseness we've dropped points against Wigan saints Catalans had we got sumert more from those 3 games we could be looking at 2 and and a home game in semi..due to moments of amateurism we.ll make 4th or should do..its time we started making 1 point games into 2.not drawing or losing its what class teams do

| 1. We cant expect to beat sides when we can only score 1 try in 80 minutes.
2. Our forwards do amazing work to get us up field and we STILL look clueless and panic in the attacking 20.
3. Passing accuracy from the play the ball is poor.
4. How on earth did Toby King not score that try with the ball in his hands 0.5m from the try line?
5. Roberts needs dropping and play Patton and Brown. Then make sure we have 2 new half backs for next season.
6. Clark and Cooper were superb tonight.

Are you not concerned about our inability to score against top sides? Or our composure when it matters? Or the fact we are playing without a halfback?

No
No
and No again
It's all right our pack (particularly Cooper) playing well
Next time we meet, LMS will be in Hill's ear, on how his team turned us over
Wins are all that matters to WINNERS.
Don't get me wrong, I watch sport to be entertained. That wasn't REALLY entertaining tonight, was it. It wasn't easy on the eye
Truth is, Saints won, 2 points to them.
We need to get away from the plucky loser tag
Almost like England in the football WC.
They've come back as "heroes"
Yet we lost 3 games, and beat 2 no hopers
As I said, the British disease. Plucky losers.
No one remembers losers (apart from themselves)

| No I'd have took a point and in a way yes if have like to see us go where eagles dare...but the result didn't matter....
What matters is winning next week and getting into 2nd at round 27.
After tonight's performance it is possible...but we are reliant on Wigan dropping 2 points should they win tomorrow.

So if we are reliant on another team dropping points then tonights result did matter.

But the result DOES matter
When we meet them next, they've got the edge on us. That's how sport works.
If we go on form, we're due to meet them at Wembley
Unless we grow a pair, or find a way to WIN, you know what's going to happen.
From where we were last season, we're achieving. Great stuff.
But the standard of SL this season, IT'S THERE FOR THE TAKING.
We're not pushing on.We need to grow a pair.
Our halves STINK. That's where it begins and ends

I agree with you to a point, but equally, the Wire Wigan games this year shows that it’s false. Take the game after their Aussie adventure out of the equation, they spanked us at Magic, we embarrassed them in the cup, they edged a close one a couple of weeks ago.
I’ve an issue with us struggling to close out a close one consistently, but playing Saints at Wembley or Old Trafford holds no fears for me. I’d back us.
