Actually, it was.
Most of the league have woken up to the fact that he's a cheating little scrote, and his brother is exactly the same type of player.
A real shame cus now and then I will grant he shows flashes of talent. However, it's outweighed massively by petulance and immaturity.
Anyway, his holding down warranted Benny's reaction. After all, it's probably what crafty Sam wanted, I wouldn't put it past him either to go looking for punch-ups judging from his recent disciplinary record, or in an effort to get the opposition player sent off. It's all part of his 'old head on young shoulders' game, in the same vein as trapping the tackler's arm under yours and such like which we see from him each week. Multiple tmes tonight we saw him holding players by the scruff of the neck as they tried to play the ball, too. As I write this I'm beginning to see the scumminess outweighs the 'talent' totally.
Take a closer look at the later stage of the match. Think it was Hodgson took the tackle, and there's brave sam slapping him round the head as he goes to play the ball, totally unnecessary. But it's ickle sam, the shining future of RL so it's ok.
