| Quote: matt_wire "We can't say that teams like Cas have left us in their dust with their style of play. It's not that long ago that we were the ones playing that fast unpredictable rugby and ripping sides apart for fun. I guess that's what makes the current quagmire (giggity) so depressing.'"
We were great at offloading ... then Wigan played the same (very effective) back door moves but Cas have moved the idea of dummy runners into a different level especially going left. They were superb last year with Gale, Luke Dorn & Solomona. Now Gale has got Shenton with Hardaker & Eden.
This rugby is special. Salford & Wakefield have been quick to latch on. I don't think we have the skill (with our current players) to play this way.

| We are averaging scorelines in defeat of 40 points to 8. Is there going to be some sort of response from the board, if only a press statement reassuring the fans that the problems are acknowledged at the highest level? Leeds did this last year, even though McDermott had won the treble only the year before to add to a long list of honours.
Earlier in the season it was embarrassing to be a Warrington fan. Now it's absolutely petrifying. I felt more confident of staying up at this stage of the 2002 season.

| Someone else mentioned it, but I'd bring Paul Cullen back... Sounds mad but I really would.. Put him and Briers in charge.

| Perhaps that's the problem. Give them all a drink.
It worked for Kelly Shelford.

| Just a thought the sides top of the league all have British coaches whose philosophy is different to the Aussie coaches game, maybe our game is suited to British style, taking nothing away from Smith but he was brought up playing the Oz way perhaps if he goes you look for a British coach just my thoughts

| New coach lined up?...No I don't think so, however 2018 signings on hold is always a recipe of board discontent. They will give TS the time right up to the eleventh hour....which I think is vs Wigan at the weekend.
Defeat and I don't think he'll be in charge by midday on Monday.

But therein lies the problem.
If we win, then Smith stays? How much longer for? A week, a month, until we get beat again, or does a couple of wins in succession rescue his Warrington career?
I think we all agree, or certainly most of us, that he needs to go regardless of the result against Wigan. Even if we stick 50 on them, the damage this season has already been done and he needs to walk!
