Has he schlonged Maguire's missus up the yaris and been tipped off over it or something? Because if that article was a porno film then it would offer the biggest 'money shot' scene in history.

Quote: The All New Chester Wire "]It is perfectly possible we could blow them away and be 24 nil up at half time. I doubt it will happen but it wouldn't be that surprising. Similarly, they could do the same to us. Or we could be nil nil after 60 minutes (doubt that).

Could be the first time this season we concede 30 points.'"
]

Wouldn't be a massive suprise. And if that was the case, I think the big question is would we hold on?

I'm in that sort of mindset where I'm expecting almost anything. The only certainty is that should we lose (fingers crossed we dont, obv) then it won't be via lack of effort.

Source being... I rang the club shop this morning on return from holiday in a last ditch effort to get a ticket and was told that the last two tickets had just been sold, then when I said "oh damn it, I only needed the one aswell not to worry" the kind lady said "let me just double check and make sure those last two definetily have sold". She went away for 10 seconds before coming back to the phone and said "no I was wrong, I have two tickets left, one in the North stand, row R, and one in the east stand for £15 but it has a restricted view because of the BBC camera". I said I'll take the North stand ticket please.

Thus led me to believe that there is now just the 1 ticket left!

i'm not sure if how individual players stack up is the point for me.

Talent wise, we are significantly ahead of them.

However, maguire has them playing to a strict model that is simple yet bloody hard work for each and every player (apart from sam). When they play to this model well i.e slow everything down (legally i might add) make virtually zero mistakes and apply pressure then they are very very hard to beat.

Add to this the attacking threat that stomkins poses off the back of that hard work then they have the tools to beat most teams as they have shown.

However we have attacking threats all over the park, our ball distribution, finishing and overall pace is second to none, probably in the past few years of super league. We have more try scorers and game breakers than anyone and they are capable of playing together to form breathtaking partnerships.

If we can get on top of their pack (which we should be able to) finish out opportunities and not make unforced errors we should win.

However if they get on top in the forwards they will be hard to break down and then we may struggle. and we have periods of 'switching off' when we have struggled to defend. maybe this is when have already won a game, maybe not....

They must be more nervous than us after recent results between us, we definately have the 'wood' on them.

Rain may play into the pies hands but we are capable of remarkable wet weather as shown against saints recently.

either way it should be a cracker, and strangely as much as i want to win this, if we lose i'll be much more confident of super league glory than if we go to wembley...

strange days to be a wire fan !

Cut the penalties and knock-ons down to a bare minimum.
In which case, can we have Micky Higham suited and booted at 430 Saturday afternoon, and the only input we see from him, is doing those 30 second soundbites to Tanya Arnold/Damien Johnson icon_wink.gif

Wigan are like an Italian football team. Efficient, hard to break down and can grind out a win. We on the other hand are like the Barcelona of rugby league, easy on the eye and full of flair.

I disagree (shock horror) that Warrington are significantly ahead of Wigan. We have been cruising since we got Richards back, turning it on when needed and sit at the top of SL. We are both the best teams in SL, and I agree this will be a cracker! I just think if our defence can hold out for the first 20 minutes and we get a score ourselves we will go on to win the game.

Can't make up my mind about Saturday, but do think the weather will play a big part, unfortunately.
The beauty is that we have been to Wembley for the last 2 seasons and won, so a loss at this stage wouldn't be such a big deal for us. But for Wigan it would be another devastating blow in their quest to win the Challenge cup.
So I am going along to enjoy the game and hope for a Wire win. If we don't win, then so be it.
2 evenly matched teams hoping for the rub of the green, and a fair referee performance. Not much hope of the latter.
