| Ever growing list of dead wood who don’t contribute anywhere near enough. As good as J Clark May be at training, he’s not making an impact in a game, he’s producing the same as Tasi (who I agree is garbage) who’s getting hammered for it, but Clark seems to avoid any backlash. BMM is a glamour player, a luxury. We could afford to carry Solomona in 2011 as the rest of the pack were dominant. We can’t now. He should roll his sleeves up and get some work done. Westwood despite being well rested after another ban, didn’t do anywhere bear enough. Goodwin, Livett and Patton have ability somewhere but just aren’t showing it at all. Goodwin in particular yesterday was dire.

| I noticed your defensive line speed versus us last week was really really slow. Was that still a problem v Salford?

In a word Yes. Good spot. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to spot this and I have wondered for a while now about the tactic of our defensive line walking forward 2 paces and then stopping and waiting for the opposition forward to attain maximum speed and collide with a stationary object. It is asking for trouble and don't give me that nonsense about conserving energy and / or maintaining a defensive line. Just at least continuing to walk forward will close down the space and reduce the effectiveness of the attacking player. Lui and Hastings had a field day and Salford fully deserved their comfortable win.

| Salford were making big yards with possession sets ,just like Saints last week ,where we just had Plan A. 3 or 4 good breaks we made were ruined by poor finishing. Salford were clinical & enterprising & thoroughly deserved to win.

| Is there an unwritten law that dictates that we must kick off to the same player in the same area pretty much every time ? For a small fee I could introduce the word 'variety' to the Warrington coaching manual

Agree with this as well. What is that all about. Get rid and concentrate on the game

| Quote Gazwire="Gazwire"A fit BMM is quality. I could be wrong here, but I’m more than happy with Currie, Hughes and Westwood/Clark as our back 3. They just need a rocket boost up their backsides. Currie is still recovering though. If he regains anywhere near his old form-he’s the best back row in the comp. He’s tough, strong and handling skills of a half back.
We just need a rocket boost.
(By the way, saints look the real deal. Coote- really, really good signing)'"
When fit there is no doubting his quality but has he ever been fit during his time at Warrington? He’s far too heavy, hit him round the knees and chances are he’ll end up limping off. He’s only bothered about what happens in the opposition 20 as well. He needs to lose weight and get back to the size he was at Salford. If he can’t I’d be getting rid as I imagine he’ll be on decent money that you could spend more effectively. Not watched Clark as much as you obviously but when I’ve seen him he seems a bit like Paulo for us. Not the best, not the worst but a questionable signing.

You’ve totally changed BMM as a player from his time at Salford. When he was with us he was an 80 minute wide-running second rower. He’s now a 10-15 minute crash and bash prop forward. He reminds me of Feka Paleaaesina now.
With the reduced interchanges these days, a player like that is a luxury you can’t afford.

I agree but think that Perry Boy has a bit of a point.
I like BMM but do you think that we are too predictable in how we use him and therefore opposition can plan for him? I'd like him to do bigger minutes, not only to spread the load in tiring teams out but to keep them guessing. A short ten minute window each half doesnt give them enough defensively to think about, three or four bullocking runs and if he's not gone over or caused real mayhem it's a case of see you later better luck next week.
Also I might get slaughtered for saying this, I might be inpatient or over optimistic, but, how long do we think we have to wait for Ben Currie to show up as an attacking force?

We've waited 4 years for Jack Hughes to do the same so 10 games for Currie is not outrageous. At least we know Currie has the skills to sport breaks and make space for a centre ...
