| Quote: Mini Rogue "lol, so I'm guessing you've listened to every single Foo's song then? Makes me laugh when people say every band plays the same song, what do you want them to mix in with it? Some bagpipes, violins etc..?'"
most of them yeah, just no varaition to the drums, riffs. lyrics what really dont make no sense.Dave Grohl will all ways been know as nirvanas drummer.Even Crooked Little Vultures sound like a poor Clash/Nirvana/Foo Fighters. Its Radio one typical play list rubbish

If you want to try something new in rock, and support a new band with Warrington roots ( and former sponsor of Brian Carney ) check out download of Ryker Sear's new single 'Just like You' on Amazon.co.uk and Play.com (iTunes eventually). Give it a listen there or at www.rykersear.com.

Thoughts then? Have to say I thought they sounded better at the Academy a few months ago. Or maybe I've just gone deaf. Supports FAR better this time around mind.

17064.jpg How can I miss you, if you won't go away????:17064.jpg |

| Going to sound old here, but just as an aside....As music ever been in such a bad state??
From mainstream Radio 1-type fare, right through to the so called alternative, there seems to be so little originality out there....I don't think I have ever had a year where I have bought so little music.
I think the problem with the mainstream scene comes from 2 sources - X Factor and downloading.
Music is now TOO easily accessable....The charts are just choc-a-block with absolute rubbish, put there by kids buying cheap downloads....Also X Factor is now bizarrely seen by many as a credible brand....Absolutely shocking acts like JLS & Leona Lewis are seen as being 'good'.
As for the alternative scene?...Yes, there are some decent bands around, but all seem to be stuck in a rut, believing that 2 guitars and a drum kit equates to good music.
We are desparately in need of a Punk-style revolution to re-ignite the music business....unfortunately, in these depressing times, there seems to be little outlet for this revolt to be heard, because the media in general is in such a conservative state....

Also you got to bear in mind the music company's like Cowell's Sony BMG are just after a quick profit every time they release a track. No one stays around in music any more unless you have a reputation. I can guarantee you in two years time none of the chart toppers today will be back there.
