It was obvious that the club were planning next year based on Johns decision in May (which ever way the decision went). All people are doing now is speculating who we could sign for the pivitol position of Half Back (some supporters think that is what is missing from our team this year and next)

The reason people are hostile to you is that you think you are the Mesiah. What divine right do you have to tell Warrington fans what they can and cant discuss. If you dont like it or dont agree with it then don't read it and don't post on the thread. Simple.

So, let me guess this right. The topic is about who we sholud sign as a prospective halfback, seeing as the main target is retiring.

Your comments are regarding the arrogance of fans and how Johns was not down to sign anyway.

saintc is right, we don't have Andrew Johns so why do we need to sign a 'replacement'. It's as logical as saying we are 'missing' Adrian Morley. All that massive contribution Morley has made to us over the years - when you take him out of the side, how can we compete!

We don't need a replacement for Johns (as has been said, how can you replace what you didn't have in the first place), but we still need a halfback for next season. IMO Bridge, Clarke and Anderson are all adequate cover in the half back role, but none of them are genuine full time half backs.

My current favourite would be Robinson. I think he would complement our squad, and is likely to be hungry for success. We could probably offer him considerabley more than he is on currently, and still have change, and a quota spot, from the money we would have paid Johns. Is it worth discussing a deal with Salford for Robinson now? If Salford go down he becomes a free agent anyway and Salford get nothing, at least if we bought him now, then loaned him back for the remainder of the season Salford get some compensation. They could stay up then lose Robinson, but that would be the gamble Salford would be taking for the money now!

Use the money saved to help entice Buderus to SL.

I would like to see Robinson replace Long at Saints in the next year or so. He is a quality player
