| What the Salford Red Devils’ CEO said
Paul King, CEO, said, “Thanks to RL Commercial for working with us on this matter. This affords time for the Club to consider all investment options and to continue to collaborate with the council and our friends at Sale Sharks to support the purchase of the stadium.
“We are hopeful that is imminent, at which point we look forward to progressing the build of our Advertising Screen, to provide the Club with an additional revenue source.”
There was also an update from Chief Operating Officer Claire Butters who ‘has been working with the off-field team in developing a 5-yea commercial strategy to ensure long-term success.
Butters said: “The Front of Shirt partnership is one we are really excited for, and one we look forward to growing.
“We know we have work to do commercially. This is a big Club with a rich heritage, our job is to re-establish Salford Red Devils as the Club of Salford and build something special here that people love and want to be part of.
“The Salford spirit knows no limits and that’s the mindset we’re adopting.”

I would issue a B grading immediately to come into force in November 2025. There would be a big surge of teams pushing towards A status knowing there will be at least one automatic position for grabs, and perhaps 2 with a relegated team should Salford not finish bottom.'"
Yes this cashflow crisis / inability to be a going concern / bailout should be penalised by the grading system. All that is happening is that the RFL are enabling Salford to limp on.

| So they may have to sell some players to lower the wage bill. But looking at their squad and we have no quota spots I’m not sure I would take any of the others that we would actually need.

| Quote: Uncle Rico "Having scanned their other board I think (paraphrasing) that this tiding over money will give them time to sort out their commercial deals which have been delayed by the stadium uncertainty itself a helping hand from the local authority and probably not fully supported at that level politically.
The club are heralding a robust five year plan .....I hope so but we will see
The fans posts I read were scathing of the situation initially with the club, but latterly the RL 'family' with vultures circling for their best players, Peel the former ownership partner, everyone from Yorkshire, Mrs Thatcher, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.'"
Cheers for that

I'd be surprised if we get involved in chasing anyone. We look sorted.

They’ll want a fee for him being under contract.

| Justin Sangare would be worth a look at, big powerful guy who if you get his head in the right spot, and get him firing would be very handy.
Wouldn't be on a mega wage either, not saying he's the GF winning answer, but could be a big bolster for our forward line

I think signing Big Joe would be about right for our expectations of the Wire .
