Because the replacement option would have been Patton, who was average every time he came in. So we'd have got fed up with Roberts 6/10 performances, had a few weeks of 5/10 from Patton and then had to go back with our tail between our legs to Roberts and accept 6/10 again.

We could have played Ratchford and put Mitch Brown at fullback I suppose, but it would have just been shifting problems around.

I think Ashton needs to bulk up a bit to become a regular fullback , he took some punishment out there yesterday , took it well mind you. Maybe a course of good wholesome Sunday dinners for a start .

Yes, about 6 stone each in the next three months would do nicely, as far as I'm concerned.
