| The club stood by Wood through his more "troubled" periods, so if he has decided to walk away at this late stage then there is something wrong, either with the situation, or the man. The club wouldn't put a squad number, and a month of pre season, in to a player that they were getting rid of, so it must be his call.
People talk about loyalty, and longevity, but it's important not to confuse the two. If he was to leave, I'm not sure I'd be too hung up about it.

| Barbed Wire has got it.
That is put a lot better than how I said it.
If he's called it then good luck in your future Paul...
Now then, what area ought we to be strengthening with this cap money? We have a warm bed to fill!

| When Woody attacked the Wigan forward (Pettybourne) and got a ban towards the end of last season I thought then that it was the action of a troubled man. It was a strange thing to do.

| Whats a shame is that long serving players have often disappeared with a bit of a damp squib send off.
Remember Mark Forster's last season he had a broken arm and missed a lot of the year then we just heard at the end of the year he was being released and they organised a testimonial on Valentines Day when a lot of people would have had other arrangements.
Lee Penny also and had a send off in front of a small crowd against I think Wigan reserves(?) at Wilderspool after Wilderspool had officially closed.
Paul Cullen if I remember rightly just announced injury had forced him to retire and he joined the coaching staff. Same story with Lee Briers.
Mike Gregory was injured a lot at the end of his time with us and then got moved on to Salford.
I know a lot of the time circumstances aren't ideal and its not the clubs fault but I think it's a shame when we don't get a chance to give these players a proper send off and give them a bit of ceremony. I would hate to think Paul Wood just leaves and thats it.

| Well I hope he has left, it's going to be embarrassing if he hasn't. We have had the critical analysis of his playing career, the eulogy, and the in-depth review of his personal life. Not to mention the bust up with the physic, his initial approach to Wigan and finally his signing for Crusaders for 2015. All we are missing are his stats for 2015 and rumours of his move for 2016 season.

| Warrington Guardian has an article about previous pre season games against Widnes, with a beaming Paul Wood captain for the day 2011 holding the trophy, if the story is true why would the paper show a picture of a departed player? the plot thickens or does it.

| There is a picture on Tryfitness on Twitter of Woody doing a run event today and he's wearing. Warrington hat. I would imagine if he had left and under the alleged disagreement with staff I would imagine he would have wiped his bottom on his kit before leaving it all in n the changing rooms.

| Embarrassing if he doesn't leave? Why? It's a forum, people post what they hear,if it doesn't end up happening then no biggy. I have posted that he is signing for crusaders. If he doesn't then he doesn't but it's what I was told and I would have thought that forum users might be interested to hear.

He will deserve it if he contributes to a winning performance.
Clearly he has never done this in the past and thus has never deserved to be in a final, i suspect that the same scenario will occur tomorrow.:30555.jpg |

No embarrassment if he doesn't leave bbfc00, as you say it's what you heard that's fair enough it's brought about a lot of different views, the Guardian story with woody got me wondering, has he hasn't he?
I also heard it was Huddersfield on a two year deal, but as yet it's just hearsay.
