So with your excellent grammer , you made a judgement on a player after watching him about six times.
Well let me tell you I saw him about 20 times last year, and he was (is) a very good player, but just like Liam Farrell this season he had to wait his chance, and when it came he did very well.
The reason he went to Aus was that he has an Australian girlfriend who was returning home, and he grasped a brilliant opportunity to go and "give it a go" over there.
Jut like over here he has done very well, not outstanding, but solid. Good luck to the lad.

| I would have thought there were better players than Westwood and Bridge. Bridge isn't even the best english centre in warrington.
Also surely Fox is better than T Briscoe

| Bridge is a better centre than Atkins IMO.

| Fox is terrible, his performance against Saints a week or two back was laughable.
As for Bridge, in his mould, ie - footwork & guile, he's the best around presently. He'll be up there for try assists in SL this year I'd imagine.

| IMO everthing about Bridges game would make him a huge hit in the NRL.

Very possibly.
He's a huge hit in SL right now, we're just sort of missing it as it's too close to our eyes, he's been superb for about 18 months and is getting better & better. He's not the complete package, he was poor at Leeds a week or two back for example, but all in all, he's as good as there is floating around in SL just now.

I rate him alot. His side step is as good as Bobby Burrows not to menshion some brilliant passing from centre. He is built like a brick poop house and is ver strong. Admittedly his game is incomplete and may be lacking in some departments. I think he'd be a huge it in Oz, playing alongside quality would make him a better player without a doubt. The Oz fans would love him and his attributes would suit. He has the aggression that would make him a real mould. I'll be suprised if Aussie clubs aren't monitoring his week in week out performances.

| Flanagan was Wigan's stand out performer in the semi last year. He is an excellent prospect doing it in the NRL and is unlucky not to make the squad - I would have selected him to see what he can do in an international shirt (and to avoid the Aussies drafting him in)

[quote="Saddened":15kig0eg]Pat Richards is poop. A typical, average, run of the mill NRL outside back. Nothing special at all. Like Barrett he is a myth. He is solid enough, he can catch, he can kick goals.[/quote:15kig0eg]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_7958.jpg |

How could the Aussies draft him in??? Not that he's anywhere near that standard anyway. Imo we should leave Flanagan with what he's doing in the NRL and see if he can develop further. As yet there are better 2nd row options.

| I'm sure he has Australian relatives and because of being only 19 or so when he went over and never having played for England he'd be able to apply for Aussie residency meaning he would be eligible to play for them in years to come. Same as Widdop really. Moz investigated the residency situation when he was over there I believe...

I know all about Aus residency, and It takes more than a few months to get it, and thats all Flanagans been there for. He's nowhere near good enough for the Aus national team, as yet i dont think he's good enough for England imo. His only connection to Aus is his girlfriend, so he could just have a visa wedding

Did I say he was going for it straight away? Did I say he was good enough for the Aus team yet? No to both. Re-read what is written before jumping to conclusions it makes you look less daft

I think that was more to do with being able to settle down there when he's retired, there was no way he was ever going to play for Australia, even though he was easily good enough.
