39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Should be great if its kept at Banter, just hope both sets of fans behave!
Atmosphere should be electric.
Last year we were on poor form and both teams were poor, this year both look in great shape and the sell-out added to the semi last year should make this a great game!
This should be a fantastic advert for RL live on skysports! Can't wait.

Wire exiled in Hampshire: |
|
| Got a call this afternoon, having bought my tickets Monday morning, to tell me the South Stand was gone and only West left. Sounds promising, but means I'll have to be in there half an hour beforehand to get enough pints to take up and a decent spot.
Come on Wire!

Agree, apart from your comments about last year's match. It was a classic, and even the neutrals loved it. You may have been disappointed, but the standard was very high for two teams sitting in 9th and 10th.
This was the game that Wire didn't miss a tackle in the first half and Wigan only missed two or something like that.

What do you mean? The game hasn't been played yet. They will sell their allocation.

Didn't Wigan have three tries disallowed (correctly) in the opening 15 minutes?

You got one, and then had two disallowed (held up and knock on from a kick) before we touched the ball (IIRC). I believe Carvell let the ball bounce from kick off which gave you the ball for 8 minutes. That was the first time we had seen our defence hold up in a good while.

Personally I didn't enjoy it, not just because of the result, I didn't think it was a high standard especially in attack and the whole season was poor really. I can understand how it would be a good watch for the neutral though.

| Back on topic. Wigans allocation of tickets only went on general sale on Monday. A lot of non season ticket holders have been buying from Warrington to avoid waiting.
Less than 150 left now.

And still some at Warrington.

And you call yourselves fans? You never sold your quota for the semi final at Widnes neither. Bloody armchair fans. Well, saying that what do you expect. You are the poor relations in Wigan playing when you are told to play etc.

| Bit harsh init just because we sold out by Monday doesn't mean they have to. They've only been on sale at Wigan for 2 days like rogues said and will probably sell out today.

| and not to mention all the Wigan fans that have bought direct from Warrington. Theres still a few more days to shift those last few tickets, so i dont see why we wont sell our allocation, and when you add the amount already bought direct from Warrington, it means we will take plenty more than our allocation. So yea, we call ourselves fans

Armchair fans!! Love that!! Remind me of the last time Warrington averaged more than Wigan?? We got more than the capacity of the HJ for our first home game this season against Crusaders, not to mention atleast half of last seasons home games. Think a few people are getting overly excited about the fact that we have a few tickets left.
