| I've just thought; the Man of The Match at Sky games gets a bottle of bubbly as a reward. How can they then criticise a drinking culture?

| This Offiah hate is bizarre.
The greatest winger of our generation and an intelligent and enthusiastic observer of the game, Offiah is as well up on the game as he always was. I'd be happy to shunt off Terry O Connor or Barrie Mcdermott and have Offiah at the forefront of Skys coverage.

you'd be happy to have two extra players on each team and have drop kicks and conversions settle games.......... and have Dewi Morris replace Bill Arthur...!!
Martin Offiah the great winger that he was has spent the last 8 years away from Rugby League....
like it or not while Barrie Mcdermot was spending evenings coaching local amatuer sides as well as playing in Grand finals and Wembley finals of the summer era.....Martin Offiah was poncing about on celebrity dancing shows...
I would also argue he is not an intelligent observer of the game...he's just well spoken which is quite rare for Rugby League...
I doubt Offiah even knows who is currently playing Left wing for Widnes

His annunciation is bumbling at best, he has the presenting skills of Gareth Gates, so take off those red and white tinted glasses Sally, Barry MacDermot would be a far better option, Offiah is at best an embarrassment, at worse he just sets the game back nationally.

Where has anybody stated they hate him? The simple fact of the matter is; as a broadcaster he is massively off the pace. This was also confirmed during the World Cup coverage, where he was comofrtably put in the shade by Cullen.

| Quote: Slugger McBatt "Agreed. He is an awful pundit. He has spent the last few years trying to find a career after rugby, and it has only just occurred to him to try something involving rugby, and he's not that good.
Carney on Friday was a very good pundit, although will need to take off his Wigan hat if he is to make it long-term.'"
I thought he was pretty good, clearly done his homework.
Saw him play at Dubai 7's for Ireland a couple of weeks ago and he did OK there as well.
I thinks he would be the best long term pundit prospect for Sky along with Baz. Tez is too limited for me, its all 'the forwards lay the platform and the half backs play off that'
