| Stealing a match ball legendary?
I'd say thief personally.
Who has the biggest away support
Your fans are idiots ours are angels
it's getting a bit boring now guys and girls
Is this a numpty fan forum
or a
Tourist forum
Lets laugh and joke, not take life to serious and talk about a bit of rugby.
Even a bit of gentle light hearted banter.
Why are we all getting so serious lately (i'll include myself in that)
Why is there this obsession with reporting how bad fans are at the moment, it seems to be the fashion at the moment ??

| it was both set of supporters giving hand gestures to one another , i dont mind the banter like w@nky warrington because every super league club will probably chant it to us , wouldnt be suprised if catalans say it in french when about 5 fans come across
but everytime a decision goes against us , fans set to chuck there beer up in the air in anger , i was on ine of the coaches home luckily not the coach that had a smashed window but i heard all the stewards say to each driver as i was about to get on my coach saying dont let them bang the windows it will encourage the hull kr fans to do something stupid , obviously someone didnt listen
so imo both fans are bad as each other , i would carry on but i think you get the point

| Quote: Thelonius "Only time I have genuinely feared for my safety at a game was prematch at Hull KR in the pre SL days.
Despite deciding then to never return, I have been back to Hull twice ('that' cup game and the Joey game at the KC) and on both occasions we (my young son and myself) were on the end of some of the most vicious and foul mouthed abuse I have ever heard. Rival banter is one thing, but some of the vitriol that I have only ever experienced in Hull goes way beyond what's acceptable.
Regardless of the occasion, I will not be travelling to either Hull club at any point in the future.'"
what prematch game did you attend???

Seeing as Hull KR were in the wilderness for years he must mean the cup game. If he does he's right, that was quite unpleasant. I've been back every year since and had no problems, including today - I even got hugged by a Hull KR fan on the way out. Bricking coaches is poor form though, naturally.

A Hull KR v Warrington one! Couldn't tell you exactly when, like I said it was in the old first division pre Super League. My mate and myself went into a pub for a quiet pint and ten minutes later found ourselves surrounded by half a dozen thugs who appeared to be ready to kick off. I believe it was only the landlords intervention that saved us from a good kicking.
Does when really make a difference?

| On the whole RL has been free from crowd violence in the 20+ years I've been watching it, though there have been odd incidents e.g. some quite well known ones involving fans of the Hull clubs (I was at a Leigh v Hull KR challenge cup match in the mid 90s (as a neutral) that almost had to be abandoned due to fighting).
I have to say that Wire have had one or two problems over the years as well, but I have to admit that at my own club Wigan we currently seem to have some issues in terms of crowd behaviour and I get the feeling that this is a growing problem for the game generally at the moment, not just one or two clubs. It is very worrying. Crowds seem to be on the increase generally over the last 10 years or so - have the new stadiums attracted "football" type fans or do we just have a wider problem in society that is now sadly spilling over into RL? Or am I just getting old... maybe its been like this for decades and I'm only now worrying about it...

I have to agree, there does seem to be a real problem with a small number of "fans" from most clubs. Over the course of this season there has been reports of mascots being attacked, cars being vandalised, coaches being bricked & numerous cases of verbal abuse.
The clubs really need to start getting tough with these idiots.
I am genuinely sorry that a number of idiots spoilt your day yesterday & that some of you won't return because of them.

| As a Rovers fan of many years I have seen the following in the last few years, scrapping in and around Craven Park (not all the time, but happens) e.g the Hull v. Rovers disgrace the other year, again poor stewarding followed by the nutters. Scrapping in the East stand amongst ourselves, e.g when some numptys become disgustingly abusive and people object, = flashpoint, followed by crap stewarding. Away at the KC (twice) been spat on , assaulted and my 2 young daughters the same, and seen some serious scrapping (actually outside in the side streets etc). Have been to the KC since and had no trouble.
All I can say is please don't tar all of us with the same brush, but yes there are definetly some complete nutters go to Rovers and Hull.
As regards the nutters at other clubs, perhaps yours included, I will not comment or get into a p!ssing contest, BUT i will not attend away games for a number of reason, time, money and not wanting to be treat like an idiot by police or stewards, or mainly because I do not need to be abused or assaulted by anyone just because of a game of rugby.
I would not blame anyone who decides to NOT travel to the City of Hull to watch rugby, until safety is guaranteed, but I can't see it happening 100% anytime soon.
I really do think it's society in general at the moment, just look at the news....eg a guy in Pudsey gets a cricket ball thrown at his car, stops to sort it out, set upon by a gang and stabbed twice....ffs, what's that all about ?
Anyways....enjoy your rugby and good luck for the season

no i dont mind that cos all teams sing it, i just think that parents shouldnt be letting their children hang out of a car singing that to fans. at that age its obvious that the parents are encouraging it
