I went last year. It was one of the worst performances I've seen in the 30+ years of supporting the Wire. It was also wet and freezing. Hence I will be going again on Friday because I'm bloody stupid....

Sunday, I wanted them all hung. Monday just maybe kept underground Fritzel stylee. Tuesday, I wanted to see the players, and do that thing they do on a film where you start thumping them on the chest, like when somebody has lost somebody close to them, and they start thumping and it ends up with them skriking and the person just holding close to their chest, maybe caressing their hair. I think by Friday, I'll love them all to bits again, just in time for break up in my head.*

*Apart from King. He's still in that cellar in my head, banging on the door, saying he's sorry, and I'm just turning the TV up, so I can't hear him, and he can't spoil Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

I'm afraid I'm still not excited about Friday and really can't decide whether I want us to win or not. If we win - it won't excite me as 1 win doesn't prove anything and will only paper over the obvious cracks. If we lose, maybe changes will be made.
