| Glad Joel is staying although Smith says he's part of our plans for next season there is no mention of any extension, as said previously probably to play at centre, along side Atkins who I think has two more seasons, the question mark over Joel has now been removed and placed elsewhere.
Lineham is not to be our marquee signing so a good chance of another signing.

| ^ HAS TO be a half back, never has a team been crying out for a leading half back with a good kicking game and inventiveness to his game than we are right now.
I actually don't know what to make of Smith's small comment on Joel; “Joel’s a big part of our future and plans for next year,” that was it, no detail or even another word on the matter leaving it to be read into a bit too much in my mind. Maybe he's a big part for the future games of this season and the plan is to sell him next year? He hasn't said "Joel will be a Warrington player next season"...maybe he will be and the plan is that he'll see much less game time?

| Isn't Stef the half back we've all been crying out for? The number on his back says he is first choice stand off.

however his performances at 6, overall haven't been that much cop.
Personally when at Salford, he seemed to be a more effective as a centre. Here, at the moment, he's best as a FB, or as others have stated, an attacking 13.

| As a totally uninformed guess, I would imagine the first choice 17 next year will be something like....
1. Gidley
2. Lineham
3. Monaghan
4. Atkins
5. Evans
6. Ratchford
7. Marquee
8. Hill
9. Clark
10. Sims
11. Currie
12. Westwood
13. Grix
14. Dwyer
15. Harrison
16. England
17. King/Laithwaite/Philbin/Evans

I think you are a new prop light and I personally would like to see Westwood and Grix switched. Always preferred Grix running out wide and I think Westwood another year older will be better suited to a couple of 25 minute stints in the middle of the field just bashing anything that runs near him, interchanging with Harrison on the bench.

| I'll be delighted if we have a new, big prop. I had Harrison as interchange prop in my mind.

Think with Westwood slowing down a bit, move him in to the middle to help bash teams up a bit. Grix would be a handful out wide.

| Its pointless trying to predict next seasons line up at the moment. More players leaving. More players coming in.

Didn't hear about Paul Marquet coming back. Thought he was more of a second rower?

I remember thinking to myself when we signed Myler from Salford that Ratch was the more creative of the two & i was pleased we eventually signed him. The more you watch Stef though, although he is very creative ,it is more for himself than others & his passes can be rarer than a penny black stamp & it is for that reason that i believe he has the potential to be a lethal loose forward. I don't even see him as a fullback to be honest, & a source tells me that he doesn't really want to play at FB ,but will play anywhere he is asked to.

I would agree, seeing Smiths terminology..I would say Joel's out on French lessons.
