To be honest i'm looking forward to a change of direction without everything being channelled through Briers , new young blood in the team that had been past its sell by date since at least 2012 at Old Trafford ,if not earlier, & the realisation that not everything from Down Under is any better than what is on our own doorstep.

And whom exactly would you have recruited? Jonathan Thurston? Daly Cherry-Evans? Sam Tomkins? I'd really like to know.

It's not difficult if you don't like the commentary to mute it and either listen to 5 Live Sports Extra or some local radio station covering it. Might be out of sync by a couple of seconds but if people are so so so desperate not to listen to Eddie and Stevo, then stop bleating about it and do the above rather than coming on a forum with baseless complaints.

Been a joy staying away from these forums during the off season.

i cant wait for the season to start... im actually looking forward to hearing them rattle on like they do, as it means Rugby leagues back on my tele.

I'm not sure where that confidence in Saints comes from. We might have a slightly better pack than last season and now have one halfback instead of none, but we still have only one halfback and very average backs.

Eddie and Stevo obviously love the game I have no major issue with either of them.. I just wish they would commentate on the actual game rather than do the refs job... And the Stuart Cummings in the commentary box thing needs binning now..

I quite like Stevo.
He's funny at times and knowledgeable. Ok he does make some howlers but people for get a times it is live tv and they don't have the luxury of scripts and editing like MOTD or the SL show.

Eddie I'm not so colourful about but not too critical either other than always being drawn to his Callaghan and Moran dyed haircut.

I think Brian Carney could easily take over from Eddie. He just needs another season the loosen up a little. He's trying too hard at the moment, like a apprentice builder polishing his new work boots!
His knowledge of the game and its personalities is so obviously greater than Eddie.
