I don't waste my time with SLS anyway. Both Boots n All: The Tries and the normal Boots n All are far superior. The former can be downloaded for free anyway for those who don't have Sky Sports

| Why dont channel4 or 5 ut bids in to do a show? I cnt see the BBC paying much for the rights. If they dnt think its a good enough product to warrant a regular time slot then I wouldnt give them the priviledge.

SLS when Harry Gration isn't on is far superior - Robbie Paul is a pretty insightful guest and the commentators are generally enthusiastic about the game, not least because Ray French is never on it. Get past the scheduling issues, and the BBC do a fair job on RL - it's not major draw and never will be despite what we all would like to think, they do a good job on Cup coverage again with people who are genuinely excited about the game. For Statler & Warldorf on Sky read French & Davies and be grateful that Martin Offiah isn't on SLS...

What's annoying me more I suppose is that it never has a fixed time. If the Beeb want to show it late, they should do their best to keep a fixed time - I hope this is what they are doing.

My annoyance rises when I have to listen to Dave Woods and his "tagged-on-badly-as-if-it-was-live-and-he-was-actually-there" commentary. Why bother? Be much better if he faced up and ran a review over it as they do on Boots N All instead of pretending he's in the press box as opposed to his mum's attic room recording over it off the telly. |
