| Quote: magic piano "He's completely different to Higham. I personally would prefer him to start the game in the controlling & laying a platform with the likes of Carvell, Morley & Westwood establishing the superiority of the pack. Then bring the impact hooker off the bench to cause devestation, and in that role you have to ask is Monas better than Higham with the answer being "Yes". Tough on Micky who has let absolutely noone down throughout his career but he always seems to end up as 3rd choice wherever he is!'"
I completely agree with all of that. I also expect that to happen.

Looking at last seasons stats Higham seems to offer a lot more to the team. Apart from the odd wayward pass which will not be picked up on the stats Higham is a miles better hooker than Clarke. Although Clarke can play in the pack there is someone in every position there I would name before him to start and on the bench.

| Clarke will walk back into the team imo, wheather its to replace Higham or Vinny on the bench.. He offers far more to the 17 than both of those do.. Clarke is one of our on field leaders and a lot of his work goes unnoticed or just slated , but for me the team will improve again with Clarke in the squad..

| Agreed. Clarke straight back in. There will be injuries anyway, but yesterday we could have started with Grix and Clarke in the halves and Monas at 9. That would have been much better.

| Don't think Clarke will just walk back in. He offers good utility value and more than V Anderson. Starting 13 though? No way Jose.

| Higham is a much better hooker than Clarke, Clarkeys too slow around the ruck. I think we'll see Clarke being a back up utility forward this year.

| No not in front of Higham but yes as Loose fwd and use Harrison as a replacement 2nd row if we get an injury that is ! otherwise Clarke can sit in the stands but I would use him rather than Vinnie who imo should never set foot on a pitch again !

| I'd put him on the bench instead of Higham, he offers more in terms of positions as he can be used at second row or loose forward if need be, he also as more strength than Higham.

| Clarke breaking into the current squad is a joke. His wayward passing and none movement from the play of the ball would set us back two years. Get him fit and ship him out. Not good enough for this squad and never good enough under Cullen or Lowes. He is only here because Cullen gave him a healthy deal that cant/wont be matched.

So you Think the two guys who are probably most under threat from Clarkes return ( Higham and Vinny) offer more to the squad than Clarke ?

| Horses for courses. Sometimes, Jon Clarke will be just what we need, other times Higham will. Monas should be there as much as possible though, he offers the best of Clarke and Higham put together plus a bit more.

I think Higham offers more than Clarke and I assume for Bradford Vinnie won't make the bench like at the beginning of the season. That would probably leave a bench of Grix, Higham, Solomona and Wood. I see no reason to have Clarke as Higham is better at hooker, he's not as good as Wood and Grix/Solomona are better to have as utility backs/forwards.

| Can't agree with Higham offering more to the team than Clarke.. When we have had Briers and myler on the pitch this year Monas Has been doing 30 minutes each half Giving Mickey 10 minutes per half, his scoot from dummy half has been pretty innefective this year to be honest, which is what his game is all about..
I also think you were being kind to his passing by saying he throws the odd wayward one .. at times his passing is woefull to say the least, and then theres the discipline, he gives away too many stupid pens ....
So given all that i dont think if clarkes fit that mickey warrants a spot on the bench for ten minutes per half.... especially as Clarke can Cover positions 6, 7 , 9 , 11, 12 and 13.... so for me Clarkey gets the bench spot everytime over Mickey
