For all the crap that Royce Simmons took when he was coach, at least he managed to get you shower to a Grand Final......

I really enjoyed the game last night, plenty of effort, lots of scrambling defence we completed sets and for the most part controlled territory.

I particularly liked that a couple of times when saints broke the line they never looked like scoring, some good positional play, players making the effort to get back in numbers and I suspect that little doubt that they may not be able to outrun matty Russell.

England put in his best performance yet, fully justified his selection and this doesn't really need to be said anymore but chris hill was again outstanding. Harrison and Westwood got through a lot of work and our backline is looking more settled again after kicking on last week.

Hopefully we will put a run together now and finish in the grand final winners elect positions of either 4th or 5th.

Very pleased with the result. Can't really add anymore to what has already been said about the team performance. However, I was (again) deeply underwhelmed by Asostasi's efforts. Slightly better then poor IMHO.

Anyone else see Mickey Higham going mad at Ave-a-toastie at the end of the first half for not running the right shape?

Was that when he was trying to get the ball to Ratchford for a drop goal attempt ?

And nobody seems to have mentioned the fact that Asotasi was demoted to the bench. Can't understand that, I have been saying for a while he is probably our best forward, so why not put him straight on to intimidate their forwards ? Plus, his offloading game would have caused mayhem. Such a waste.

Demoted to the bench because he does sod all! I can forgive players like England for not playing well because I can see they are at least trying. 'Big Roy' takes in less ball than Ryan Bailey, hardly ever takes a tackle (always slows down looking to tip the ball off rather than putting his head down and driving it in like Hill) and the few tackles he does make he's the second or third man into the tackle. He wonders around like a lost child with his hands on his hips. If he doesn't want to be here then let him leave.

Put James Graham in this side and we'd get to it again. But many years will pass before we win a trophy again, the club is lacking in every department from top to bottom. The whole culture of the club needs to improve, there is no heart for a fight anymore, no will to win or be better. It'll take more than a new coach.

I think you are just being a bit picky there. I mean, he is always well turned out, has nice clean boots, runs onto the field extremely well, and always remembers which side to pack down on. I am sure the rest of his game will come in time.

and to be fair to the lad, he did get a try against London. No easy feat on their patch!
