Do some work for my Bro in law in his Hessle yard, and don't know where the wagon drivers get the fish/chips from but lets say you don't go hungry with portion sizes .... and always cooked well.

Biggest problem is staying awake on the journey back after eating it .......

Ended up on fire that place last year. Never been in it though, but I know where about it is.

What's the new chippy restaurant like where the pub used to be at the back of Sainsburys/Blockbuster in town?

Best fish and chips we have ever had was in a little place called Seahouses up in Northumberland.

However for excellent fish bit closer to home try Yorkshire Fisheries in Blackpool.

All I can say about that place is it smelled nice from sainsburys carpark

Went to the newish one on Kingsway (Manny Rd end) last night and was very impressed.

Think I've been to the one in Seahouses Mark. Geordie will probably tell you that Hartlepool is full of good chippies, it's a fish and chip lovers dream.

No wonder if you have bolognese on chips



Believe me when you live abroad it's not average chain restaurants like Nando's that you miss, but a proper decent chippy.

Some of the best as people have suggested are to be found in the North East, but there's also a few left in Warrington such as the Cantilever, Panny's and Big Blue.

I live down south, if you did, trust me you'd prefer Nandos

Do they do takeaway? On my way into torn later for my Leeds ticket.

I must have been lucky because there was an excellent chippy in Chessington, and here in Winchester we've got an award winning chippy that does the best fish n chips I've ever had, just a pity the staff are so bloody miserable!

Has a sign saying best fish n chips in Britain but for once the sign didn't lie.

Fish in particular was epic. Very fresh.
