Wouldnt be surprised to see him leave before the season starts. Hes had a decent season for us to be fair to him....carried us in a lot of game when our Marquee was found wanting. But for me, has just not done it in the big games (finals especially), against the good sides. He was MIA on Saturday. I heard over the weekend that we had a big offer turned down for Luke Gale, and have made numerous approaches. Not sure how true that is...if so, it does tell us the Price knows that he needs an out and out number 7 for next season.....

Whether Brown goes this season or next the club recognise that we will need a replacement. Brown has just turned 34 and I think that many people were expecting that the 2018 season would have been his last (nor would many have predicted that he would play in 33 matches). Quality halfbacks are a scarce commodity and we've struggled for the last 5 seasons during which time we've tried Myler, Gidley, Sandow, Brown and Roberts in various combinations as our starting pair with Patton, O'Brien and Livett in support. Being on the lookout for a quality half should be an on-going activity.

Would Cas accept £1m for Trueman do you think? Middleton wanted to put £1m into the club - that would be ideal use of that money and Trueman would be well worth that money I think.

I'd take Gale in a heartbeat but agree if we're shopping at Cas we need to be looking at Trueman, in my opinion.

I was told months ago that part of the deal in Brown coming to Wire was there would be a position on the coaching staff for him once he hung up his boots.

I heard that Bob Moore was retiring. So there is a position for him there.
