Agreed. I can understand getting a latin saying if it's been part of you club's history for years (eg Nil Satis Nisi Optimum) but something a marketing guru decided to stick on our shirts a couple of years ago?

As for the "Champions" thing. I don't regard us as such, but then I also don't regard us as "Warrington Wolves" and plenty of people have tats saying that. If I was going to get a tat commemorating last year it would say "Challenge Cup Winners" but at the end of the day it's his tat so up to him what it says.

Just because the the powers that be call the Grand Final Winners "The Champions" and the Challenge Cup Winners "The Challenge Cup Winners" does not make his tattoo incorrect.

We were the champions of that particular competition if you follow the dictionary definition of champions.

I agree though that the accepted description throughout the sport is that The Champions are the grand final winners, and not the Challenge Cup Winners.

But it is his tattoo and he is free to call it whatever he wants.

At least it is not a big Lacoste logo tattoo that I saw someone walking round Warrington with a few years back.

This Challenge Cup Champions thing always makes me cringe. Never heard the cup winners called the champions before we won it.

Just like I've never heard in football it's the FA cup winners. Not champions.

Just got my done on my right forearm looks pretty decent and will be showing it off Saturday at Wembley.

im struggling now, had the lupus blah blah on back of my neck last year and said if they won this year i would get it added to some how, was going to get the dates put on it, however if we keep going like this im gonna have to put a new date on every year and its gonna be massive! anyone any ideas, bearing in mind im a girl so nothing too big and dark

I'm not criticising your choice to one of course, I have 2 myself, just make sure you think long and hard about it. I'm talking months here, not minutes, hours or days. If the design you want still means something to you next spring (for example), then it's probably a good sign that it's a good idea.

If however, the idea of that design has waned, then at least it's not too late

Both my tattoo's will still have meaning in 50 years. Fingers crossed, one or two Wembley wins in fifty years time will be insignificant compared to what we have achieved since then
