| Quote: Uncle Rico "Well I hope your situation improves and you have the choice of attending again soon. I certainly wouldn't make a personal judgement call because everyone's circumstances are different and subject to change BUT here's a thought as a town do you think that we have backed this team enough?
I get that play off games are extra and some might be being 'careful' as they hopefully come thick and fast and in threes, but would have expected another 1,500 on Friday's gate v Saints with a hope that we saw 'Sold Out' at the HJ.
Not having a go at anyone, just wondering if we as a club should be concerned? I think we had better turn outs under Smith, although the stats will probably prove me wrong, (I seem to remember a near sell out v Saints when Carvell went the length of the field), where and why have those fans gone?
Is it the game, cost of living, TV which I think was high ratings considering other viewing or something else?
Can it be fixed as I'm sure that Sam and the staff value the support and whilst the atmosphere couldn't be faulted empty seats isn't a good look.'"
That carvell game was 15 years and a lower capacity ago.
Also fans hadn't got sick of repeat fixtures, and the game being well, any of the excuses used by fans today that don't go.

Of course there is. There's more chance of Saints winning the GF than Hull KR selling out. I hope we reduce their allocation next season at the HJ.

| I’ve done my fair share of away games, the logistics of getting to Hull on a Friday night. Makes it’s difficult for me to attend, so it’s the next best thing, watch it on the telebox, whilst posting on here, during the game.

That would be the “save incontinent cats “charity, presumably.

The whole ground IS sold out apart from the recently erected temporary south stand which holds 1,000. There is a decent chance this will sell out also.
Last week v Leeds the new south stand sold out completely.
Warrington allocation is in the North stand. There are 5 sections A-E and usually the away team gets A and B which is 800 seats. Earlier in the season Warrington were only able to fill about half of this so maybe 400 at best. This time Warrington have got A-C which is 1,100 (100 empty for segregation) resulting in some Rovers season ticket holders having to move to the temporary South Stand.
It would be a risk to have Warrington fans among the temporary south stand which is also in the Craven 'Streat' food & drink area..Should that have happened and trouble were to break out I'm pretty sure Hull KR would have been held to account.
Rovers have been turning people away week after week this season but the away section of 800 is usually half empty or less. It's great that even with an extra allocation Wire will fill their allocation this time. The atmosphere at CP has been electric this season and with so many Wire fans that is only likely to increase.
For years Rovers have averaged between 7 and 8 thousand but these last 2 years there is a whole new generation of supporters and suddenly the ground is not big enough. The club is putting in an extension the the East Stand for 2025 which will help.
But most likely you will be back to 400 or so away supporters when you return to CP next year. Am I right or am I right?
Not picking a fight and it's great that Rovers will take 2,000 or more to your place. I seriously doubt that your club would want to do anything to reduce that number next season.
As for the game it's too close to call. If you should progress at our expense I'll be cheering you on in the final. Anyone but Wigan surely?

| Personally have no problem with our allocation of tickets - it’s a fair amount based on the capacity.
It’s also nice that a game of RL has a scramble for tickets.

I'm still a bit surprised by how many people arent getting the difference between a bog-standard league match and a semi final. Maybe if Hull KR get to Wembley next season, they can get a ticket allocation based on how many fans they took to London Broncos this season.
Anyway, it's fine. It's going to be a proper sellout and a good atmosphere.

Exactly. I don't see it as "Hull KR away", I see it as the Super League semi final. As a result of that I was willing to go way above and beyond what I would normally do in terms of time and cost to get there, but for the first time in 30 years of going I've been unable to get a ticket for a Wires match!
I probably won't go to Hull KR away next season though, no.

| Oh, and this is no offence whatsoever to Hull KR, but if they end up playing Wigan in the final I'll be supporting Wigan.
I'll be doing so for the same reason I supported Leeds against Cas, Saints against Salford, and Wigan and Saints against Catalans.
When a "new" name finally goes on that trophy, I want it to be ours. Yes I'm petty like that!

I wouldn’t say it’s petty it’s a perfectly good reason. As much as it’s a pain so few teams have won it and fair play to them I’d also prefer it if we were the next team on it

To be fair to His Bobness and Hull KR, whilst I have a certain amount of sympathy on the smaller than hoped for Warrington ticket allocation.
Yes it is a semi final but in reality it is their home play off It's not like they have gone to a neutral venue and pinched all the tickets OR and I mean no disrespect here have a situation like Salford where they were 'reliant' upon Leigh fans helping them reach that record attendance.
It's not in their interest to keep their supporters out and they've earned the right to manage the game.

| Yeah I'm not saying they should have given us more tickets. I wish they had, but I agree they didn't have to.
I just think "coming out of the woodwork" and "you'll be back to 400 next season" jibes are a bit petty when quire clearly a semi final is much bigger than a regular season game and of course people who don't necessarily go to every away game will want to go to a semi if they can.

Still loads of tickets left in the East Stand and South Stand as of this evening. I don’t think it sells out.
