ha ha I thought you were angling for Primrose seats as opposed to yellow

I’ve always had a bit of OCD about the bare concrete breeze blocks in the concourse. I feel like doing a whip round and getting some whitewash and painting it myself. Do they still have that Changing Rooms show on TV? Maybe someone could give them a call, citing a bad 2022 season as a reason for a bit of sympathy and some brightening up of the place.

I raised that point myself when the stadium opened, the answer to me was it would all be covered by sponsors.
Something didn’t go the plan.

I’ll draw a vacuum cleaner on the wall with some crayons. Hoover will love that. I’ll say it was Karl’s idea.

It does look better in other areas of the stadium where they have painted them.
In my opinion though they need to sort out all the rust and dirt first.

| Personally, I couldn`t give a monkeys, regarding the paintwork or lack of it in the HJ stadium.
I just want to be entertained by a successful Wire team, preferably playing open style rugby.

Well you're probably right. I won't know the full history all of the kits as I've only been watching since about 2002, so I haven't seen a wire kit that's had a typical primrose colour.
But I was thinking about something during the PNG vs Cook Islands game, which was that PNG away kit looks good, like really good. I started thinking that since they're based in Warrington, we might consider using their design, but hopefully using the concept I had about blue shorts and socks with mostly yellow shirt.
So I took to photoshop and tried to cook up a concept...
Also just added a 2nd pic with multiple players seeing how it looks lined up as a team. But if I don't post again it's because I've been sniped by Getty Images

| I think if the blue was a bit darker and we used the Hoover wording rather than the big red logo, that kit would do quite well. And I see you’ve cunningly signed up Laybutt already.

| Kinetic I quite like the design above and no problem debating yellow and primrose either so apologies if I came across a bit brusque.
No matter how long anyone has followed the Wire we'll each have a favourite kit or two not just based on design but other factors, a result, a day out, a favourite player/squad. I'm not saying and in fact I'm quite thankful that we aren't slaves to a V or a hoop etc We've used all the patterns and different predominant colours sometimes just a solid apart from the old collars and cuffs but (only my opinion so probably wrong) I'd like us to stick with a colour palette and work from there.
For first kit imagery the Brian Bevan chest bands, the Harry Bath narrow hoops, the John Bevan Challenge Cup V kit, the Bob Eccles solid blue, the solid 'primrose/yellow' that beat the Aussies and others in between and later are all unmistakably Wire kits .

| The 2003 Miller kit with the primrose and blue hoops was my favorite. Hoops over stripes and v's for me.

*Only if they're red and green or red and black though.
Primrose/yellow and blue was always rubbish anyway, but I now more than anything else associate it with four Grand Final defeats.

That's the closest to primrose that seems to be available. It seems there is after all a less ominous Hoover logo in use, it's just that we chose the big red 1950's one.
Obviously they are soccer shirts and were thrown together in 2 minutes, but you get the idea. I'll have a longer play with it tomorrow and see if I can get a design that looks okay and satisfies most of the preferences on here.'"
I like what you have done with the sponsors logo on your mock home shirt. Please take note hoover.
I usually look forward to the kit launch but still feel a bit flat about wire at the moment.
