| Quote: Saddened! "That's a much deeper routed problem than one coach or set of players fixes IMO. As much as I hate them you have to respect Wigan for this. Their individual players are not anything to write home about at all, yet they share the same clinical execution and refusal to lose as the Hanleys and Edwards from the past.'"
I think you're being a little narrow sighted and disrespectful there Saddened. As you mentioned, O'loughlin is a special player and, quite rightly, regarded as possibly the best 13 in the game. Green has just been headhunted by Melbourne and has a great partnership with Smith who, himself, is most people's choice as England 7. Charnley is an established International who has been on the NRL radar for several seasons now and Burgess is frankly one of the best prospects in the game. Already called up to the England squad and now also sought after down under. The back row is the best in SL and would grace most NRL teams. Are you seriously suggesting that Farrell and Tomkins, let alone last season's YPOTY John Bateman, aren't individually any good? Really? Like him or loathe him, McIlorum is again an established international and, again, highly rated by the Aussies. I could go on (Pettybourne and Bowen were both plying their trade in the NRL to great effect last season, Gelling has just made the OPTA team of the year, Sarginson a YPOTY nominee etc.) but I think you get the picture. Wigan are indeed a well coached team. However it's a team made up of some very good players!

| Really enjoyed the game tonight but the Wire were shown up as not the finished article & Wigan just about deserved the win . Still ,very good for a transitional season & thanks for the memories Wire & good luck to the lads who are leaving. Pleased to see Roy's improvement continuing & the coaching staff need to be working on a Plan B for next season.
Well done Wigan !

The only people who want Wigan to win the GF now all live in Wigan!! No one else wants Wigan. Wonder if Phil Clarke/Bradley Wiggins/Sam Tomkins are going to all be in Wigans changing room at OT offering to put the players shorts on for them/ kiss their a$$e$??'"

| Putting all the bickering and my scrum half is better than your scrum half comments to one side.
Well played for last night. I thought it was what a play off game should be. Close, intense with two teams battling to get to the final. During the game I thought it was going to be your night and felt there was a little bit of luck going your way. I think you possibly lacked a bit of composure in the last third. At 12 all we gifted you several sets near our line.
It was one of those games where both teams would feel they deserved to win. Certainly neither deserved to loose. Good luck for next year.

| Warrington got bullied as I expected.
Disappointed with the end result. But a decent season from a side that is Tony smiths worst ever squad.
We should be a bit better next season with a bit of mongrel added in from Simms.
my ref moan. ....He got all the big calls right but whats the point if he ignores what's going on at the play the ball. ..he got praised for penalising a hand on the ball in the ruck once. ..once ffs.
my Wigan moan, Tony Clubb..() When finished giving it the big man with myler o brien and Higham why did he not feel the need to try it on the big men.
My shaun wane moan what decisions given against Wigan "were strange..". You talk Crap you really do what an ungracious winner. We got a variation on his" I don't mean to be disrespectful but..."he never fails.
A good game for any spectator to watch its a shame only wire and Wigan can serve up these games.

| That was a great game that could have gone either way. Both sides lacked a bit of composure in the last 10 minutes. Had Lee Briers still been playing Wire would have won. Had Sam Tomkins been playing Wigan would have won with a few more.
How anyone can fail to be impressed with a game like that is beyond me, it had everything.
At the game I thought Bentham had a mare but watching it back I think the majority of calls correct.
Now for the U19's Grand Final, if it's half as good a game we're in for a belter, enjoy.

Nice one, good points well-made I would say.

| McIlorum has to be the most overrated player in living memory.
Utterly ordinary and showed it again last night.

Tomkins never really did much against us. I did think at deadlock going in to the closing minutes this is the point of the season where we will feel the loss of Briers, as if he'd been in the team he would have most likely hit a drop goal from anything up to 40 yards.
However you have to say credit to O'Loughlin for going for the try out wide, it's one of those things where it should look obvious that when a team is crowding in focusing on a kicker there could be opportunities out wide but in that pressure situation not many players would have the balls to do it.
Once again O'Loughlin comes up with a play in a big situation, and remains underrated by many, same story as Sinfield really.
