Far from wanting new players,we need someone to get them all pulling in the same direction, singing from the same hymn sheet. The whole season has been reminiscent of the last days of Cullen ,with Nero Smith fiddling while Rome was burning all around. The players we have are no worse than throughout the league, but they need a leader & the club needs to sort out whatever is wrong in the dressing room.

It didn't quite resonate as much as "geerrrr in to em!"

What about Cory Patterson @ Salford? He seems to be unsettled according to reports on BBC etc and I think he could adjust easily to SL and add a bit more grunt which is lost when Sims and Hill go off for a rest.

I like him, I like Rangi Chase too, but can he play prop?

I don't believe for a minute that so many of our players have gone from either good/mediocre to poor in the space of one season or less.

I think Simms gave us the biggest hint with his 'clear the air meeting' - TS won't of liked that comment as it came across as by-passing the hierarchy. I doubt Simms or any other player will be making comments like that again.

Like I said - I find it too much of a coincidence that a handful of our players have distanced themselves from passion and teamwork.

Did anyone notice how desperate and deflated Hill looked after the Cas game? My worry is Hill will lose his heart too - he must be majorly concerned about his work rate and lack of results of late - I know I would!!

For me something is seriously wrong at the club that goes deeper than individual performances. I hope I am wrong but that is my gut feeling.

Cory Paterson played for Hull KR before Salford. He got unsettled there too & went back home,i think mid season. He seems a very aggressive,but dirty player too. Would he become unsettled with us & want to be off on his travels ?

Despite his enthusiasm, Patterson is a walking end of a bell. We already have the disciplinary committee ringing up Westwood, every time he looks at a player, sternly. They'd have a field day, with Patterson.


Going back a few posts, naming a few Cas players. I'd have Michael Shenton wearing a Wire shirt, in a heartbeat. Good centre's pace, great hands, can beat a man, a brain. What's not to like.
