Stefan Ratchford over Myler. Did you go the game on Saturday. If he is the future of warrington we have a problem.

Read my thoughts here on Steffan Ratchford, lets just say i was underwhelmed when we announced his signing.
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=502337&hilit=+steffan+ratchford
I only put him in the starting 17 as a halfback as i certainly wouldn't want him anywhere near fullback plus i don't rate Myler, twice now he's failed to show up in 2 massive games for us, the challenge cup quarters and the play off eliminator against Leeds. Myler just doesn't look like a natural organiser or a half back that will take a game by the scruff of the neck if were in trouble where Briers and Monaghan maybe out injured or not performing on the day.

On another thread Rob, you said that you'd seen improvement in Riley year on year, that he wasn't the finished article but his attitude was good etc. I find this all the more surprising Rob, that you can't do the same with Myler, you're being a little blinkered in my opinion. He's getting better & better, is starting to organise and boss games etc.
He's probably younger than Riley, and whatever allowances are made for he are certainly applicable for Myler if not moreso as he's playing in such a key position.

| Hill will be in the 17, possibly in place of Cooper. The club didn't pay a transfer fee for him just to leave him in the under 20's.

He came 7th overall in the polls on here but interestingly never managed a MoM from the fans.

It doesn't matter what your opinion is...... Cooper is an excellent forward, who has played many top flight games against the best SL has to offer. [sizeHill doesn't have a SL game to his name.[/size
You cant expect people to pick someone they have never seen play in SL ahead of a proven player in the England knights squad can you?'"
He progressed through Leigh's service area, scholarship and youth ranks before making his first and currently only first-grade appearance whilst Leigh were in Super League in Super League X (2005), during a 74-8 drubbing by St Helens.
wrong again

| I can't think of one reason why Hill should start before Cooper unless he proves himself in the U20s first. Cooper is an established SL player and Hill is not.

Really not sure where Ratchford fits in to be honest, but the only place I can see is at centre and that's based on Bridge being a very effective 13 and Grix being a very versatile 2nd rower/13/half back.
Coops misses out but he'll play a big part again in 2012 as injuries strike.
Can't see Ratchford missing out because TS wouldn't have fought for him unless he saw a future for him. (If he doesn't play then it'll be Bridge at 3 and Grix at 13 and Coops at sub (although Ratchford could get in here for his versatility).
I don't think Hill will get a look in this year, but again one for the future - unless injuries strike.
Evans will play at some point and O'Brien is definately in with a shout.
McCarthy, Blythe, Mitchell, Laithwaite and others are there waiting in the wings. They could get a run out too.
Still think we're really weakened by losing King - a real massive blow - only partly offset by the extra experience gained by Evans, O'Brien and the other youngsters.
24 players from the squad mentioned here! Not bad all in all.
