| Quote jdrocket="jdrocket"I'll just point out I didn't dislike what you said (until you resorted to insulting me personally) I was just questioning what your point was. As I said originally, someone said all super league teams had animals in the name, then someone countered it and then you said what the names of wigan, salford, hudds and salford were.
I still don't understand what your point was. Either way I don't care. You have become very defensive yourself though. I thought I was being helpful and you respond with insults and sarcasm.
(Mark, I wasn't implying anything was awkward. I was,kt trying to be a smart arris, I promoise.)
Shall we call an end to it? I probably won't respond again to this childishness either way.'"
Bet you will

Once again, i haven't insulted you at all. So chill your beans. Secondly, rather than reading one post of mine and making judgement on it, see what else i had posted in the thread and you will fully understand the relevance and save us all of this hassle. Once again, i hope this reaches you on your high horse because my god you have something unsettling you.
Add to that:
Nevermind, i can't be bothered at all. You read my post wrong and that is the end of it. Done.

The word giant has many meanings, in this context though, i would assume it means a loving massive person. People are animals, so therefore giants are animals.

| Quote Teessidewire="Teessidewire"It's actually Wire, it comes from the original nickname of Wirepullers, which is derived from the history of Wire making in the town. Very similar to Wigan originally being the Colliers due to the amount of coal mining there used to be. Personally, I much prefer 'Wire' to 'Wolves.''"
Ditto !!! wolves has still got a nice ring to it though

For next season, add the Vikings, who replace the Crusaders. Both a bunch of animals.

| When stood on the terraces I never hear the word wolves mentioned. I think we have the balance right. The club can market us as the wolves and we get the benefits from that, yet the fans "own" the wires thing and keep it alive through our dialect when talking about rugby and singing on the terraces.
That's something that won't die and I like that.

I couldn't agree more, the fans have kept our roots, the likes of Wigan have also done this and i'm sure Saints fans won't change even though they are being rebranded to the Saints RLFC.
