We tried to sign him twice and he turned down the money to stay in the NRL, he would have been outstanding for us and i was really disappointed he never came. he used us to get better deals back home. he's now 32 and looking for a big pay day which you can't blame.

One of the main reasons for turning us down was his ambition to play SoO and for aus which never really materialised for some reason.

I hope Bradford get there moneys worth from him, but we've all seen how long it can take for an aussie to settle to life in the grim north of England compared to the beaches of sydney.

Matt Orford's move smells of similar....I'm thinking the Bulls weren't exactly generating much of a buzz around Bradford with the big name signings of Sculthorpe & Reardon??....Bring in a big name Aussie, who without a shadow of a doubt will be your best player for the next 3 years, but only because so much of the rest of your squad is so average.

Good moves by Bulls and Wigan. The money being quoted will be way over the actual figure, no doubt, and the Bulls need a catalyst to re-spark interest. Deacon will do a good job with the inexperienced Tomkins, and will be a better half-back partner than Leulai, who is even more of a hooker than Monas.
