| I know Scott Sorensen obviously, but he's not a prop, he's a second rower. Josh kerr i'm aware of and i know he's a big dude but hardly made the first team last year, But i don't know Makatoa so couldn't comment.
Sorensen is the better forward but i don't remember seeing him at prop before.
To be fair we wouldn't be looking at any player that wouldn't be up to scratch, so will be interesting to see if anything comes of it.

| We won’t be signing any of them three. Not sure where Wells have plucked them names from.
Taignoa is the one we want and we’re pushing.

It’s come from the horses mouth.
‘We’re not in any need rush to sign anyone, as it would unsettle the team for someone to come straight in for a current player to lose their place to him.’

| It's either white noise from the club mentioning three players to focus Wakefield towards a deal for their asset in tanginoa or it's not ...if it's not, Out of the three Kerr would fit into the team ethos and not unsettle it and is a big lad with an offload which Powell would like I suspect...more curiously is whether Warrington will make a play for gildart ... He must be getting frustrated not being picked and going fishing instead

He's been our main target for the last couple of months, but Saints have offered him a contract as well (from next season as they don't have the cap space or a quota spot) . So I suppose it comes down to who offers him the most and who he wants to play for.

We have a bit of history of getting players before Saints, Waterhouse was going to sign for them I believe. I’m guessing it will be about cap space on this one, I hear we have space and quota spot but we must be near the limit.

To be fair, they managed to secure Ben Barba, when he was supposed to be signing for us, but the way things worked out with him while he played for them we dodged a bullet missing out on his signature.

Correct. Mikeala didn't just go because of homesickness & because of his child not settling in school. It was because he wasn't earning much. He'll be getting a lot more in the NRL, even as a fringe player.

| Not to sound harsh but Wakefield are big favourites now for relegation even if they keep Tanginoa. So if they do go down then am I correct that he could leave for free, if that’s the case would be better to take a fee for him now.

That's correct...it then turns into a case of if Wakefield decide to cash in or hang on and hope for the best

| Is Tanginoa good enough for us to spend a fee and a bigger chunk of cap space? Or are we better unearthing another gem from the NRL fringes? That could be the difference between Clark staying or going (although I have a feeling he'll go to Saints anyway for a guaranteed slot at 9).

Tanginoa is a 2nd rower, who can play prop too, but not as well as he plays in the backrow.
I too would like to see him in the Wire team, but given the way that Nicholson and Currie are playing, he wouldn`t get into our starting 13.
Maybe OK as a bench player who can cover the backrow and prop positions or if Currie`s new contract demands can`t be accommodated in our Salary Cap?

| Guessing what recruitment the club does going forward will depend on the Clark and Currie negotiations, they would not want to be taking a pay reduction and they are both in form right now so other clubs will be interested. Till that’s sorted we would not be getting anyone with an high wage demand. BUT then according to some clubs (Saints) fans the cap never applies to us.

Big Boss…it’s better to have a headache who to leave out, than struggle to find some else from another position to play backrow after an injury.
