| World-class English talent, start of his peak, won't wanna' go back to the NRL.
If Warrington has a chance, then we have to make it happen.
If that means being ruthless and paying Austin off or whatever, so be it.
If he's intent on going to Wigan then fair enough, but we've surely gotta be making efforts to lure him.

| Trueman could end up like Brierley , missing the boat by not moving to a big club on decent money when he had the chance.
Anyways the Duck on Williams ‘nailed on’ is still running. [whistles]

As I understand it paying off Austin means it still counts on the SC it doesn’t just disappear.

You are correct, but if an Australian team signed him off us now, then we wouldn`t have paid him off.................

If he worked with Powell for 10 minutes he would go backwards at an alarming rate

Throw it all at Williams for the rest of this season on a short term deal with Leigh and Williams can then go where he was planning to anyway next year.'"
Brian Carney agrees with you.

| I'd be surprised if we'd be anything but leverage for Williams' agent. He only counts for £75k on the cap at Wigan, which is where I expect him to sign for.

| Quote: Lord Tony Smith "James Graham spoke well on this on NRL 360 this morning basically saying when he went to Australia you plan getting your family over to see you and you coming home in the off season but with Covid none of them things have been able to happen. The same thing happened with Bateman where he wasn't able to see his daughter last year because of Covid.
Anyway, I'd love us to break the bank for Williams. He was, for me, the best halfback in the competition when he left and he'll be even better now. I'd sooner him than Trueman.'"
Agreed I think I would overall have Williams over Trueman, both exceptional talents but I think Williams just has the edge of more of a complete player at the moment. Although, I can only see Williams going to Wigan unfortunately!

| Austin all ready holds a marquee spot and it’s looks like he will not be here next year, so the options are pay him off and let him go home now and then bring Williams in, yes he is going to be expensive no doubt but players of his ability are not around that often and we should go full out to get him, only reason it won’t happen it won’t be because Wigan offer more money it will just be the fact that he wants to go back their.

If you pay a player off he will still count on the cap, the only way you can remove them from the cap is to transfer them to another club.
So an option would be to offer one of our marquee players to Leigh - should they be interested , who apparently have the money and cap space.

| Please develop your own players rather than buying all ours, please haha!
Obviously GW would prefer to come back to Wigan but with Widdop and Austin likely off at the end of the year and your financial power you could blow our offer out of the water.
Like some have said GW is leagues ahead of Truman. Worth breaking the bank over.
