| What’s next?
More of the same. Third place. Serial under-achievers.
Warrington will not win the grand final until we find that ruthless demand to win from the top down. I’ve got friends who’ve had ST for nearly 30 years who won’t review next year.

| Well , we seem to have got rid of the scientists , Doom & Gloom , off Boris's tv bulletins & now we have a scientist from vaccine maker BioNTECH predicting the end of 2021 before things are back to normal. I should think season tickets for 2021 will be rarer than hen's teeth .

I heard the same on the Andrew Marr show but I'm clinging to the hope that his interpretation of normal might be different to one where it's simply a case of easing lockdown restrictions. He might have meant normal in the sense where everything is reset to the time before we'd even heard of Covid
Btw agree season ticket sales will be a hard sell

| I’m not sure if anybody on here follows John Davidson on Twitter but he has just tweeted a link to an article about us - asking if we are on the hunt for a new halfback.
Sadly you need to pay to read his content so I haven’t seen it. Does anybody know more? Maybe a reference to Widdop again?

Wow, what a season that was. Average score 40-15. My favourite season at the HJ. I remember the Hudds fans unveiling a banner congratulating us when we beat them to win the hubcap, a classy touch that was.

So sad, in what we've become since then.
Yes, we're playing "off the cuff" rugby now, but it's blind panic, where the "off the cuff" stuff played in that season did have [istructure[/i, in that there was ALWAYS a player ready to take a pass, or be available. 2012nwas still good, as was 13. Since then, just a downward spiral of mediocrity. The club have just seemed to accept it.

I think the 'off the cuff' stuff has been good this season, we actually looked good when weve had to go rouge, away from the gameplan, mainly in broken play. When we have stuck to the game plan weve stunk the house out mostly, CC Final aside.
For me, that tells us everything we need to know and Price has to go. For me Wane or McDermott, proper winners who know what it takes to get over the line.

Not managed to read the article either, but after many months of speculation it could suggest Widdop will be on his way back to the NRL and we are fishing around for a half.

Unfortunately Lee Briers type halfs simply don't exist anymore.

| Puts on tin hat & heads for bunker....i bet we'd do just as well with Dec & G O'B than our present pairing.

Pretty sure RD's heavy artillery will offer you covering fire on that one, still even with that assist likely on offer I hope its a big bunker.
For what it's worth everytime I have seen widdop for England and also the few occasions I've seen some NRL he has looked great, no way has he become a bad player overnight, same goes for Austin. In my opinion, ultimately, the coaches job is to get the best from the players they have at their disposal and there is no way thats been achieved at wire this season, I could take being beaten by a better side on the day if we had played well but we didn't and that's why for me price has to go. I would be far happier starting next season with Paul Anderson ideally or Henderson at a push, depending on his dynamic with the playing squad (no point if he has been acting as Steve prices good cop for the past 2 season) of course that's only actually relevant if either of them would actually want to take the job on!
