| I can’t wait for the high kick to Inglis to be our 2021 tactic.

| Greg Inglis & Rugby League is currently trending in the U.K. - Major coup and a genuine shock. Well done to the club for pulling this out the bag.
He’s a great athlete and it’s truly inspiring signing by the club! I wouldn’t worry to much about his fitness hopefully the last 12 months have helped him deal with his injury niggles and freshen his body/mind. I was shocked when he previously retired I thought it was premature even at 32. We obviously won’t be getting a Greg Inglis in his prime but even at 75-50% we will still be getting a high quality Rugby League player.
Interesting point that he was never actually medically retired from the game - he had niggles and struggled for form (see link below) NRL physio has made a few tweets and highlighted a few articles on this, it seems more like he’s rekindled his love for wanting the play the game again and Wire have made him a suitable offer
I doubt many SL clubs would turn down the opportunity to have Inglis for a season or two. It certainly gives Wire fans and Super league something to look forward to in 2021.

| No doubt fans from other clubs will have their usual laugh if we fail to win anything with him in the side, but the fact is, at this point of time especially, they should be grateful that a club in the league still has the balls and ambition to make signings like this, seeing as presently all the talk seems to be about cost cutting and clubs going bankrupt.
While most clubs will be expecting their fans to pay more money to see a devalued product, Wire have gone out and brought in a genuine great of the game - from a marketing point of view, it's genius.

We were meant to be yeah. At the time, pre-apocalypse, it was suggested he would play for the reserves and provide cover for the first team on pretty much minimum wage as he wanted to return to the UK permanently and sort his future post-rugby. It was never announced however and there were never any pictures anywhere of him in the training kit, so hopefully we've avoided that one. The reserves have been disbanded for this season I believe for obvious reasons.
The signing we're meant to be making is one of James Tamou and James Graham. The former is a top player still and at 31 would be arguably the best prop in Super League. Graham would be more of a Rooney to Everton signing for a swansong season, but he'd still do a more than solid job and give us time to replace Thompson properly.

| Wow. Is Tamou only 31. Would be a good signing for Saints if that comes off. He seems to have been around forever. I would have guessed he was 35.

| Interesting signing , shirt sales and merchandise alone will go along way to covering the outlay , I like many hope he goes well for you .
We will find out just how strong his knees hold up as soon as Wigan's cannonball crew have had a nibble on him .

| I'm loving some of the bitter fans talking about "topping up his pension". Do they not realised he's only signed a 1 year deal? Hopefully he goes well, stays fit, enjoys himself and wants to stay the following year. Either way, I can't wait to see him in a wire shirt. I can imagine his first run out at the hj being similar to the Andrew Johns night.

Hope it's against us, so we don't have to face him when he's match fit.
I also pray that crowds will be allowed. Imagine a season of having Greg Inglis in Super League only for crowds to be banned.

| On a side issue, does anybody else sense this is Wire firing a warning shot to Hetherington and co in Yorkshire, who are looking to lower the cap and stifle the ambition of clubs like Wire?
Won't be shocked to hear talk of franchises and mergers coming again very soon. It makes zero sense for ambitious clubs to be held back in these financially turbulent times by other clubs, especially a couple who shouldn't even be in the league due to not playing at suitable venues.
