| For all his recent indiscipline & giving away penalties we have been blessed to have long & regular service out of Hill ,as we also have with Cooper, both of whom have either managed to remain injury free or have chosen to play through injuries & have given coaches a stable & consistent front row to work with. There is definitely a lot wrong at the club but, unless they are disruptive, don't throw the babies out with the bath water.

Agreed, they're still top players for me. They just need a few bodies to help share the load better than the current supporting cast do, philbin aside. That said I think ohilbin covers second row and LF better than prop anyway.

Exactly this, Hill and Cooper cannot continue to prop up (pun intended) the front row for another season. Apart from Philbin the other prop recruitment has been diabolical and the CEO should be held accountable for this.
Entering 2020 without serious help in the front row will inevitably mean we struggle again, with the we have the backs we have.

CEO or coach?
Who signed Tasi and who re-signed Sita?

| I'm OK with Sita getting another year. He has potential. He can be a game changer just with his ball carrying hits. Legal shoulder barge.

Where is this potential you speak of? Doesn't do anywhere near enough.

| Tbh i haven't really been impressed with BMM either considering the fanfare he came with. For a youngish lad Sita is not doing anywhere near enough minutes.
I know they say "Old horses for hard roads" but Hill & Cooper are doing much more than their fair share.

The answer is within your question and answer...
The lack of work is the reason for potential. Had we seen more of him then all glaring deficiency would be exposed(not down the park), or not.
So I'd give him this year to break out of the mist.

| Who determines how many minutes these players play? It's not their say. BMM can clearly do the minutes - he did them fantastically in the semi and at Wembley on a roasting hot day. Sita (not his biggest fan at all) but has done long minutes in the past and doesn't look gassed after his 20 minute stints. As well as having two quality props Saints also utilise them very well, Price on the other hand, IMO, gets his timings all to c * ck at times.

Do you think he would get in the Saints or Wigan pack? I don't and that should be our benchmark for establishing parity with our peers.

| I've said it before about Akuola, I'd happily trade the two blockbusting crowd pleasing runs a game we get for 40 mins of hard yards, and/or offloads.
Saints don't rely on showy runs from the likes of Knowles, Taia and Ashworth they get hard grunt, offloads and big minutes.
Akuola is a ahow pony - he ia the exact opposite of what we need, and if the coach feels he can't do big minutes then he needs flogging for giving him a.new contract.

By all accounts BMM has been 'managing' injuries for most of his time here. I agree he can do the minutes and if he can get himself right he is more than capable of doing 60 minutes for us in the back row. He would be a great asset there and I would start him with Currie. Big season for BMM contract wise - needs to prove he can do a job for 60 minutes, as at the minute we're not seeing enough value from him - despite his undoubted ability.
I disagree about Sita not looking 'gassed' after his stints, he seemed to really struggle after that initial 15 - 20 minute period, and you could see it in his defensive work.
Philbin's minutes have been creeping up as he has proven himself capable of maintaining his performance over a longer period - the coaching staff clearly don't feel that is the case for Sita and feel the injuries that BMM have been carrying are impacting his quality on the field too. There will be plenty of analysis on how each player performs over time during the game, I'm sure that's used to determine how long a player should play on for before his performance levels drop too low.

BMM can do longer minutes when he is fit he clearly was not fit for most of the season, and didn't seem to trust his leg himself judging by warm ups.
