| I never used the word Nazi in my initial post...once again some seeing what they want to see. I'm talking about the millions of German's that followed Hitler.
That is to paraphrase how so many people are standing to get her singing the same psalm and slate Patton and he and his family see it...
Yet the club have complete faith in him and he has delivered and proved every single rip to be wrong. He is a Challenge Cup winner and will be a Grand Final winner to and by god I hope that salt stings some of the worst of the haters.

We owe him nothing but his contractual obligations. He has been extremely fortunate to start and feature in so many games for Wire which has largely come about by horrendous injuries to some and rank bad succession planning by others. He's also had a lot of good will as a Warringtonian.
Halfbacks are the lifeblood of the side, organising, managing games, creating openings, taking games by the scruff of the neck and influencing results - as well as kicking. He just doesn't have those skills. If he has a RL career after Warrington it will be at a lower standard club without a doubt. Whatever it is I wish him well and will consign him to the Durbin, Hulse, OBrien et al club.

| The amnesty didn't even last as long as a game. The poor lad was rested and injured since Wembley and you're all gunning him down again.
Shamed to new depths...
You surprised me most 71. Reserved since our CC win and bang straight in there when the unity song starts up as not to be alone voice.
Well I'll be a lone voice and support Patton against you all if needs whether I get on your nerves...offend you...childish.
I don't care...unlike Patton I deserve the shat.

| I tend to agree with RD on this one. Like many before him Dec Patton has been the selected whipping boy for the season and some of the comments on here do at times feel like a feeding frenzy. If a player is trying his best and his contract reflects his skill set then that's all I ask of him.

| I can't remember one game where he's been above average. About the same level as Gary Hulse and Patton got twice as many games as him. I don't see what RU see in him although he can boot it into touch on the full. God knows who's going to bang that bucket now, I bet Stuart Pearce would do it.

| At the end of the day he is the back-up halfback. In that role with a salary that reflects he compares quite well against his peers elsewhere in the league.
Saints - Richardson
Wigan - Sammut
Salford - ???????
Castleford - Ellis
Hull - Liam Harris(?)
Catalans - Eric Le-Chef
Leeds - McClelland
Huddersfield - Russell
Hull KR - Chris Atkins
Wakefield - ??????
London - Matt Davies(?)
In reality there is probably only Richardson in front of Patton. Which says pretty much all that we need to know about depth of quality of halfbacks in the English game.
You never know Patton may be a late bloomer like Gale who at the same age as Patton is now was propping up Super League with Harlequins. Can't see it myself though.

| I apologise to everyone offended from a reference made about innocent people who fell under the spell of the wrongs of Hitler.
Using such a paraphrase wasn't within the spirit of the forum.
I wish you to know it has never been my intention to offend anyone.
I would also like to highlight that I never used the word Nazi in my initial post and neither did I say anyone was a Nazi...rather I was trying to make a point that you could be taken in like the millions of innocent German people...that is very different.
However my apology is without condition.

Good post.
However I wouldn't swap Patton for Richardson.

That will be 2 apologies in 1 month. The 1st was for racism. The 2nd for the Hitler comparison. 3rd warning & your out.

| Whether your post was offensive is by-the-by, I just think you need a break from this forum, stop seeing yourself as the champion of the minority view and an outspoken rogue, quite frankly you mostly come off as the end of a bell, and your antics/claims on other forums are embarrassing the rest of us and do us no favours.
Perhaps consider a new way to pass your time for a bit matey.

| Honestly, the Duck can be a Pratt on occasion but he did NOT call anyone a Nazi. I don’t even see how what he said could be interpreted as that. He was (as far as I can tell) using the analogy to show how following the herd can lead to a “perceived wisdom”. I actually don’t think Patton is a world beater, but nor do I believe that our stuttering attack is solely down to him. He was one of our halfbacks when we attained second place as well as when we lost it. There are rather more fundamental problems with our team and sniping at the Duck won’t alter that.
