| Quote: rubber duckie "there's no hopes from me. A spade is a spade. Last season I expected 2 finals and top 2 with top 4 minimum.
That's what we got!
This season I expect the lot...and we'll win the lot. The squad quality is just too deep to fail.
I saw Saints...they played well but the depth in forwards is still shallow. Warmsley is massive for them no question. They'll be near us but not better. I still say Wakefield will be the strongest chaser.'"
You’re kidding yourself on if you genuinely think you’ll win the lot, you’ve still got a lot of bang average players(Patton, King, Atkins etc). Leeds were absolutely appalling, that performance from them warranted a 50 point defeat. Yes Warrington were good but there was a big element of them being made to look good, Kendall gave some ridiculously soft penalties in the first half as well. All it takes is Blake Austin to get injured for a long enough period and your chances of silverware evaporate. That said you are a good side and it’ll be between Saints and Warrington for the silverware this year.
Our depth in forwards is far stronger than yours. The list of every forward we’ve got is as follows: Thompson, Roby, Walmsley, Taia, Peyroux, Knowles, Paulo, LMS, Lees, Amor, Douglas, Smith, Ashworth, Bentley, Batchelor. There’s nothing shallow about that and we have the best pack in the league without a doubt. We have at least one top end super league in nearly every position so too say Wakefield are the strongest chaser (don’t know how you’ve decided it’s Warrington they’ll be chasing) is just plain stupid.

Morgan Knowles is 22 and has played 85 games, he’s definitely not one for the future and neither is Matty Lees.

Well it won't be long before we find out...and I for one cannot wait....you'll even have a 10 day turnaround to help you along.

The outcome of a single league game will have no bearing on anything. This arguement between you two is pretty funny. Both sides have huge mental issues when it comes to big games. We can't win big games period, you can't win finals. If it were Saints v Wire at Old Trafford, there'd be 80,000 people having a collective panic attack. The arrogance of you both is stupid. Wigan will still have a big say in things. You should do well this year, but as ever your conviction is just false, you were convinced you'd win both finals last year, look at your posts the days before those games.

No arrogance from me this year. Saints and Warrington are a fair bit ahead of everyone else. Both sides have got better and Wigan have got worse with the players they’ve lost and a new coach coming in. None of the other teams are close either, really. There will come a time when Saints will win a big game and same for Warrington with finals.

| Is Rubber Duckie a troll or does he just spout that much crap on a daily basis that he starts to believe it?

He's the reincarnation of Nostradumus. He makes that many bold predictions that eventually something will stick and sound vaguely similar to something he predicted. If you read what he put before the CC and GF last season, he defiantly stated they couldn't lose either.

I totally agree. I was just hoping they'd turn out alright.

My reasoning was that Roberts must have been holding something, there was no way he could be that shat...well he was.

| Duckie is sound. He doesn't get everything right, but he does get some very interesting stuff right. I've had a few pms from him and they've been spot on.
COYW- what a great start to the season.

I agree. I thought he was solid but his last tackle plays weren't great. The kick to Lineham near me went about 2 metres over the touch line. Overall though a reasonable performance and hopefully something to build on.

Well done Dec.
The knockers are quiet as they see your pass set up the opening try for Stef.'"
Got your money on him for MoS?

| Quote: Saddened! "Very poor game I thought, after the two excellent Sky games the previous nights. Leeds were just appalling, the amount of missed tackles, a lot of them basic one on ones was pathetic, their handling even worse. Hurrell looked every bit a player who hasn't played for 2 years. Charnley's try was embarassing, Atkins lumbers to the ball and passes it right to his winger, no dummy, no disguise. Charnley is then able to stroll over untouched from 6 foot out? Clark's wasn't much different. Their discipline was shocking as well, they have a penalty away on most sets you had in the first half. They were as bad as I've ever seen a team in Super League. Up there with the Hull of the second half of last season. They absolutely stank.
As for you lot, you've got an impressive squad and I think you'll be the run away league leaders this year. I don't think you are technically better than Saints or Wigan even, still a lot of average players in your 17, but you play with more urgency and clearly want it more than the other sides in Super League. Your gameplan was quick play the balls, desperately quick to try and force penalties. Kendall made that easy tonight, but that could backfire with a more competent ref as several times your forwards didn't even move the ball from the floor, just left it on the floor and played it. Your offloads were the highlight of a solid first showing and again made very easy for you tonight by Leeds' lack of physicality. There were a few excellent offloads, but a lot, particularly from the backs were just throwing the ball out wildly and that can very easily become a bad idea if you turn the ball over, which is possible if the opposition has any level of desire and commitment, which Leeds didn't. Second half you got dragged down to their level and made loads of mistakes and the pack ran out of steam and everything slowed to a crawl and had the feeling of a pre season game.
Austin looked good, he looks a character as well, which is desperately needed in SL. Westwood still a grub, no doubt get cited for that if the RFL has any level of competence.'"
Blimey, that's rather a bitter review after one game, perhaps you ought to stop watching. Congratulations on beating our friends from up the A49 to being the first person to call Westwood a grub. What are you hoping that he gets cited for, by the way?

It's hard to look beyond Ratchford Clark or Austin for MOS in Wire colours.
If Ratchford keeps up this form then he'll definitely be short list, if they have one.
