| In a season of unyielding abject misery and typified by the shallow, hollow performances of barely concealed contempt that have blunted the most unwavering of support, even the most chastened of primrose and blue hearts must have beat a little faster at the rapt expression on Curries face as he scored.
As long as that lad is pulling on the p&b, hope springs.
Admittedly, I'm a bit biased.

| We out fought Wigan in the middle - that's promising. I've given up hope of us having any form of slick attacking structure. We need to be strong in the middle and get on top of our opponents, quick play the balls and offloads will see us home.
Currie will give us more tries, Hughes or Julien wouldn't have scored that try today, they just wouldn't have put themselves in that position. I'd like to see him in clear space, before the injury I'd be confident of him having the pace to out run most threequarters, i'm hoping he's not lost that. They were mentioning he's put on significant upper body size.
I'm still expecting us to be travelling away to featherstone rather than castleford, but the last few performances are starting to look encouraging.

| Well done Wire ,where have you been all season ? Defence won the game tonight despite the best efforts of the ref to sway the result with a dodgy call for moving of the mark ,allowing Wigan to be offside at PTB & putting up with Wigan players diving for penalties, disgraceful. The Sims/Bateman incident only parted his hair & the Marshall somersault to try & create a spear tackle were shameful incidents that damage the integrity of our game. Great to see two safe pairs of hands with our new recruits & a once more stiffened right hand side & well done Ben Currie .

| Highlight of the night was Bateman getting penalised for trying to pat Hiku on the head lmao, then Oconner trying to say he done nothing wrong but for Cumings to say had he not run in then nothing would have happened.

| Well done on beating that grubby bunch. Probably too late to save the season, but take that form into the middle eights and you'll be fine. Great to see Ben Currie back and made up for him.

| This result makes it much more likely that we will finish 9th. There is a distinct advantage in finishing 9th rather than 10th.

| You just cant be a fan of anything about Wigan's Style of play.
the latest tactic I've noticed them using across the team (previously only a pre NRL Sam tomkins tactic)is when the tackled wigan player sticks his leg out into the Warrington Tackler either by wrapping it round a leg or an arm and trapping the tackler in. It's simply trying to gain a penalty for a feigned holding down.
The usual Grubs did it last nigh O'loughlin McClorum and Bateman , but even baby faced Liam Marshal was doing it.
but just absolutely priceless when Bateman for No reason at all tried to Bitch slap Hiku and gave us the game.
Lets enjoy it but nothing to get carried away about...Wigan arent a good team.
And I've been threatening myself to type this for a few weeks now:
George Williams...............Is he the most overrated player on the planet...... I havent seen him boss a game all season... he'll have a nothing game then maybe take the line on and pop his nose through and score but I'm not so sure wigan fans can be happy with him other than they can crow about him being another Wigan born "superstar"

| Did you not notice at least 2 of your players doing dramatic Oscar-worthy dives to win penalties? Swings and roundabouts isn't it.
And yes Williams is out of form but still one of the best halves in SL on his day. Still leading try assists in SL and top 10 for tackle busts and offloads and defensively can't fault him.

| Also, did anyone else see Tomkins water the ball down with the water bottle before their goal-line dropout in the second half, in the hope that we'd knock on? Bet Sky didn't pick that up! Such a role model.

Didn't notice that. I would like a second look at the incident when Currie went through & was possibly tripped by Tomkins.

Yes that should have been a penalty but once again missed by the officials........
Ratchford copped a ban the other week for a "lesser trip" whereas Tomkins positively went out his way to trip/push/shoulder Currie out of the way.

| Anyone had a look at the Wigan board about last night's display against us.
They are going into meltdown about their "boring" style of play.
So funny........
