| I'd be disappointed with our backline going in to next season. I would have liked to see a left winger signed.

If that is the case, we can't have spent much on transfer fees considering we must have grossed an additional £1m this year.

Centres make wingers what they are. That being said Wingers need some sort of nouse to finishing with a try in tight spaces. You'll never get that with Russell. We need 1 centre and 1 winger IMO.

| At least that means it looks like Sandow is staying. If he can regain that early season form, then we have the best and most watchable player in the league.

| Penny and Lineham are OK by me. Just pick 'em and shuffle the rest of the backs. They'll score tries if you pick 'em and then
pass them the ball. I think Tony Smith got carried away with defence and the scoot.

| We probably don't have the salary space to bring in a quality centre and winger.
Gidley, Sandow (marquee), Sims, hill, Clarke, ratchford will all be on big money... So unless we lose some we cannot replace the likes of evans and penny who won't be on much money in comparison.

I'd say that was a fair assessment as far as cap space is concerned you'd presume that Cooper Crosbie and Savelio are on more collectively than Bailey Cox and Dodds perhaps assisted by Laithwaite and B Evans going, also are any of the other lads staying getting a pay rise?
Signing a new top winger and or centre you would have thought would need us to shift two or three decent earners

| I would estimate only 4 in inc Harrison with 5 out, wouldn't leave us with much, if any spare cap.
Just a simple maths guess would tell you, were spent up.
There isn't going to be any major signing. Perhaps some youths.

| I just wonder if the 'new centre' is Toby King. He got quite a lot of exposure at the back of last year ( I was surprised to see he featured in 16 games) and seemed to have kicked on a fair bit. Meanwhile presumably Patton and Smith will be understudies for the halfback positions and will get considerably more game time. I thought the tackling from Morgan Smith was pretty impressive as well, so if Dwyer were to leave ......... So that really only leaves us with the wing position. We know TS has been actively looking for a new man at Wakey, Cas and abroad. Perhaps this is the only major signing we are now lookng at ??

| We also have Ben Julian who can play centre. I think he had a hand injury last season saw it bandaged up which may have been one reason he didn't play much.

He's not quite the world class attacking, "wingers" centre though is he.

| Rumour doing the rounds is Sandow and Dwyer leaving Warrington with Taufua and Hardaker coming in.

| Little point having outside backs without creative halves. Sandow, if fit, must be top priority. He could get a traffic cone to score 20 tries a year.
