Best not put them in the wife's handbag then, I know from experience anything that goes in there is never to be seen again.

| I bought mine after about 60 minutes on Saturday. I didn't want to wait 'til the end and let telly clappers snap up the seats I'd earmarked online that morning while I was still in the ground celebrating.

| 35,000 tickets sold between us and Hull since Friday and Hull down to their last few hundred tickets for their initial allocation.
It's going to be a big'un. It's definitely got the makings and the feel of a Classic. The Challenge cup final has been crying out for a fierce, close scoring game for years to attract the neutrals or first time watchers. this could be the final to get people talking about RL again. Once upon a time we took 40 odd thousand to Wembley. It would be nice to have a similar amount there again. Attendances dropped off because we were there quite often I feel. The novelty wore off for the part time band wagon brigade. having 4 years off should bring them back in good numbers.

And thats what really annoys me, the party brigade turning up loke they have followed the Wire all their lives. Yes i know some people say its good for the club etc just wish they would show more support and actually go to games not just turn up for wembley .

You're never going to stop it mate, you know people. Any excuse for a P*** up. It irks my slightly when you look at the overall population of Warrington and we struggle to sell out a 14,000 capacity stadium. The size of our town we should be averaging 18,000+ a week.
remember after the first final though? Attendances the next season shot up. Probably because non watchers went as part of the craic, ended up hooked and came back.
Whether you like it or hate it... The band wagon grows the game.

We seem to have a hardcore of around 10'000 at the moment which is a mixture of season ticket holders and walk ups on the day. Not all from Warrington either, as there are a few that make a long journey every other weekend. I have a round journey of around 220miles.
It would be great to fill the stadium every week, however i am not sure that constant success would increase our average attendances by 1/3.

Yeh i know, it is what it is unfortunatley. Like you said everyone went in 09 then the novelty wore after that on. Now its been 4 years the face painting brigade or the telly clappers as DM puts it will turn out again. Oh and while im on one dont anyone come on and say my mum uncle sister or dog who as never gone a game is coming with me. Id be asking why couldnt you get them to go before, but as u say its just an excuse for a p^^s up.

| I don't understand the negativity about band waggoners, we need all the fans that we can get as a game and a club and if 5-10% come back the following year even for an odd game they should be welcomed and encouraged to 'come again'. If you have a lapsed fan at work get them to come along if you know a newbie explain the rules and involve them in your plans. There's always threads about the RFL and marketing well IMO apart from the game itself regular supporters should be an asset in this regard
It's not an FA Cup Final where most clubs have a regular home attendance in excess of the allocation I could understand it if you followed United or Liverpool and missed out to corporates and a ballot system that is oversubscribed but I don't know anyone that has missed out on a big RL occasion because of these terrible people

| I agree with you to be honest Rico, I just wanted to make sure the tickets I wanted didn't get bought before I got them!
It's not the same as football because supply outweighs demand so everyone who wants to go is free to do so.
No chance we've got a hard core of 10,000 though. We've had a few attendances below that, and some of a cup and play off (ie non season ticket) attendances have been woeful. We've got about 8000 regulars who go to the majority of home games I reckon.

| End of the day there will always be differing views on this, which of course everyone is entitled to. It's not about negativity and if you think it could increase attendances by 5/10% then all well and good. Maybe it will replace all those who stopped going after 2015 season, a lot of the people near me ive not seen at games much this year if at all.
