| It should also be noted that the fans helped make that game. We are our strength and a weakness at the same time. We are too critical of ourselves at times but we back the long shot with enthusiasm that times surpasses what we offer our own.
Not a criticism as I'm as guilty as anyone and TBH it makes me more proud than frustrated because I don't think any other nation would do it. We want RL to progress more than the Roos etc. But then we would, wouldn't we.

| A massive thank you to that crowd tonight they made our game look amazing. The atmosphere sounded better on the tv than being inside the stadium for the England game yesterday. Hopefully it will continue and we see more full grounds.

| THOROUGHLY enjoyed that! Great to watch a brilliant NZ team and wonderful to help support the underdogs. Second half atmosphere was dynamite. Can't wait to get the Virgin box warmed up and watch it all again!
What's the code for half price tickets to the quarter final at HJ?

| Wow.
I would love to trawl back through the RLWC sticky at the top of the page and pull up all the posts from months ago saying how cr@p it would be. What an amazing weekend of rugby league!

| Brilliant game. Don't think some of the Samoan players have played in a stadium with that atmosphere. Ooooo Samoa...
Pity SBW never scored when he fell over near the end of the game.

Not many will have on either side of the field. Australian games have the atmosphere of a library and most of them the stands are far back from the pitch with 20,000 people spread out in 50,000+ capacity stadia.
It must be amazing to come over here and play in a ground like that with the fans right on top of the field.

| Soliola on the crowd- "It was touching. I can't explain it...it was incredible".
Rugby League put on a great show tonight, let's have more of the same!

| Best fiver I've ever spent. Some massive hits but no foul play. Greaf advert for the game. SBW no try after all the hard work he did and then slipped on his was funny as was the Samoan player in the first half reaching for the try line from about 10yards out. Did he think he mr tickle?

| Loved the game. It will probably go down as one of the best games I've seen live. This is probably due to not having a strong alliance to a team playing. Some top hits and quality points scored.
Loved the banter and the singing. Well done to all involved in making it possible.

| I have to say that was a quality exhibition of rugby league. It has given me a better appreciation of the international game and gone some way to change my mind towards this competition vs an Ashes series.
It was a great atmosphere at the HJ as Samoa mounted their come back. So glad I was there for it. Your ground is ideal for RL.
It's been a good opening weekend for the tournament. The OZzurri impressed on Saturday as well.

| I was about 20 yards from SBW's cock up, was brilliant going from starting to applaud the try then joining in with a 3k-strong chorus of pointing and laughing. Great game, great atmosphere. Just brilliant all round.
