| A few of my "pearls of wisdom"
We blew a 10 point lead, to end up with a 10 point loss. TOTALLY UNFORGIVABLE. Especially at home.
Why go from "devil-may-care" RL, in the first half, with the ball thrown round with gay abandon, to "one man up the middle" tactics in the second (and then throw away the game). I'm baffled. It turns out, we do have a plan B, and yes, it's crap. We don't suit down the middle rugby.
Chris Riley. Boy is he out of form. He just doesn't look comfortable atm
Atkins' MotM. Got to be a laugh, surely. Twice, in the last 10 mins, we put a bomb up, and Young Freddie Mercury brushed against someone and said "after you, Claude. I'm terribly sorry, I almost got in your way" GET IN THERE, YOU TWONK. YOU'RE A 6 FOOT ODD BLOKE. COMPETE FOR THE ####ING BALL.
We have two ageing hookers. FFS, put a bid in for Houghton. He rarely has a bad game whenever I see him. The lad's an unsung hero. We couldn't contain him, tonight.
Cooper. I'm sorry, but why does an Aussie side want him? I know we have a lot of Aussies doing bar-work in one of our major city's (London). Are the Aussies trying to buck the trend, and get Englishmen to serve Toohey's in Sydney?
Well done Hull. Best team won.
If we lose many more games, we'll be looking at an away game, when it comes to September's play-offs. I wont be overbrimming with confidence.
Come on, Wire. Sort it out.

And, unfortunately, as well as you will play all season. Just my opinion.
I think you'll drop off from here. I'm not too despondent about the wire performance tonight. I thought we dominated for large parts, and could have won the game.'"
So then why on your last 5 or 6 sets did you never look like scoring and had to resort to hopeful up n under's,mind you in all fairness it was only kicks you scored from.

Pretty much sums up the game. You were the better team. I never thought we looked like scoring, and to score we had to something special, which is a credit to FC's defence. I thought you deserved it, and I said so much to your fans leaving the stadium. However, I think you've peaked, as good as it was.
On reflection, I think tonight will be the highlight of your season. You wont win anything, and a good away win will be the best you will muster this season. I will take the game at your place a couple of years ago to my grave.
Well done FC

| I am not so sure. Hull looked tonight more capable of winning a trophy we are. Although I can't see past Leeds or Wigan for SL.

| We should have won by more.
Not a bad result for us considering we were missing Watts, Westerman, Tickle, Galea and Arundel.
You'd probably have gotten more from Siverwood if your players weren't constantly in his ear moaning about something or other, you reap what you sow.

That, right there, is where you get your reputation as fans.

| Thought Hull done well tonight and exposed our fraudulent defence on almost every opportunity given. Watching our team defend at times this season has been like watching Cullen's team defend. Teams just waltzing through from close range, players left 1v1 on the try line and regularly getting beaten, it's poor to watch. At times our defending can be brutal, we shut up shop and a freight train at full speed wouldn't get through, but tonight, every time Hull got near our line they set up to score and succeeded at will.
With regards to our attack, Briers is just coming back and Hodgson being out didn't help, but I still felt like we moved things too slowly and didn't run particularly good lines. I like Grix, but we need a strike player like Bridge back in top form. Bridge was a walking try/assist when in form, we clearly aren't getting that with Grix. Atkins, IMO, is feeling the strains of being the only centre in the team at the moment. Considering he isn't a natural centre (IMO, he just doesn't create enough to be a natural there), his game is clearly suffering and he's been ineffective most times I've seen him (admittedly not as much as most, I work weekends).
We'll pick ourselves up and get on with our season, I'd rather face games like this now rather than in September, if the competition is getting stronger we have to prepare ourselves for that rather than get the shock at the end of the season. I have no doubts Tony has everything under control, but if he doesn't have his playmakers fit, I find it very hard to believe we'll beat the teams with pace.

| We need Bridge back. Now.
And Atkins needs to shape up or ship out.

| I think when these teams come to the HJ they always raise their game because its the biggest game of their season, its like going to the Nou Camp, every opposition player wants to perform that bit harder at the HJ, its their cup final.
In the playoffs if we go to Hull it will be easier because their players won't have the HJ factor to lift them.

Imagine how weird it must have been for the Hull players raising there game to play in a worse ground in front of a smaller crowd then what there used to.

| No complaints from me about loosing tonight. Least not forget hull would have beaten Wigan if it wasn't for dodgy penalty.
I thought Ellis had a quiet game, the young hull winger is what we need

Not seen much of us have you?
We made a stuttering start to the season, mostly through not being able to find or field a half-back combination that worked together. The Good Friday loss to HKR was our nadir, it caused the team to take a long, hard look at themselves and since then, there has been a steady improvement in both attitude and application, helped by players returning from injury.
I'm confident that last night's game will be far from our season peak and there'll be more upsets to come as the squad gel on the field.
