They also discussed it on the drive time show on TalkSport. Goughie and Durham were praising Woody to the heavens..

I didn't know that. Something to do with lower testosterone levels?

| The gulf between Woodies courage and Suarez's antics at the weekend is enormous.

| But it's far tougher being a football player - they really get injured. Look how many end up on the floor in the penalty box......

| I watched it back on sky plus. After the knock I saw him crouch down to gather his thoughts for a few seconds. He was then a little sheepish in the first few tackles, after a minute or so you'd never even know he had a problem.
I cant wait for the first game next season. I may get some novelty testicles sewn to my top pocket as a mark of respect!

| Sad isn't it that the only time our game gets a national mention is when something like this happens. Never any praise for the exciting matches that occur week in week out. However now Yawnion season has started the national papers are full of it, mind you I believe a try was scored in one of their games. I do fear for the long time future of our game given the lack of publicity we get.

| Quote: Horatio Yed "Well at least his singing range will be higher than it was.
Woody has only got one ball

An old boss of mine lost one, whilst playing 5 a side. OUCHIE
The more cruel of my "colleagues" used to sing
Billy, has only got one ball
The other, is in Frodsham Sports Hall
As a cruel irony, an anagram of his name (Bill Ashton) is no ball (swear filter sidestepped)
Say what you like about Woody (top player, imo), to even try and play on in those circumstances, takes some balls
coat on

| 31 years old tomorrow! It's been a hard life, lost half a finger when I was 15, a front tooth at 28 and a testicle aged 30!

Know a lad who had testicular cancer and he had to have one removed, he took up the offer of a prosthetic replacement, and apparantly you would never know. Should think PW will have been offered this option but he may decide to wait until his playing days are over. Fantastic effort for him to stay on the pitch, and then be able to joke about it on twitter.
As an aside, can't believe you lost to Leeds, was hoping / expecting you to turn them over.

I can understand the point of a prosthetic limb, eye and breast, but is there really a point to a false testicle??
The others are obviously there to aid movement or appearance to the public eye, but seeing as most people don't go round with their bollox swinging about in public, there seems little point in having a replacement testicle put in, unless you are a single bloke who might be sensitive to explaining how you only have a single one in the first place.
As for Woody, it seems everybody knows of his predicament, so would seem little point in unneccessary surgery?

Balance! If he only had the one he'd keep running round in circles.
