That’ll do. As long as I have the correct interpretation of the word lover.

| Smoke bombs not a good idea at the best of times so leave them at home. As for the guy who set it off, personally i don't know who did it, rawzy might but i don't know. People do a lot of silly things when they're drunk, that doesn't justify his/her's actions but something that just happens. If you see it happen again don't just stand and watch do something about it even if you're on the other side of the stadium, before you come on a forum complaining.

| Being drunk doesn't justify letting the smoke bomb off. Simple fact is, to have brought it is premeditated. You can definitely tell between the old school Warrington fans and the new brand of chavs on the ride when the going is good. Wire fans are in the main good, get rid of the idiots asap though.

| Quote: 1905 "Yes, that's pretty much the size of it.
Unless of course you find the twonks actions as reprehensible as the rest of us, we who are the ‘true fans’ and report him to the club.
And there you go, in answering your question, I’ve finally ended the argument about what constitutes a true fan.
1) Don’t throw a dangerous smoke bomb in a crowed terrace.
2) Don’t associate with anyone who would throw a dangerous smoke bomb in a crowed terrace.
3) Report anyone who throws a dangerous smoke bomb in a crowed terrace.'"
The definitive post on the subject.

Tell you what then mate, next game at the HJ, if he has another smoke bomb report him to the stewards before he sets it off.

Agreed. And before that, say this:
"Erm, can you not let any more smoke bombs off please mate? It's dangerous and makes us all look like complete Sam Tomkins'"

| Whilst bringing flares into the ground is obviously stupid and whoever did wants to have a word with themselves, then if a group of teenagers want to get drunk, chant inane rubbish and pay minimal attention to the game all in the name of following Warrington then so be it. I'm sure a fair few will grow out of it and turn into week-in week-out season ticket holding fans that are the life-blood on the club.
I'll guarantee that the majority of the people giving them stick are the (in my opinion) idiots who insist on singing the cringe-worthy "stand-up if you love Wires" and then ruin my view of the game because I do not wish to stand in a seated area. Well I think all of you should be banned and are ruining the game for real supporters like me who do not feel the need to stand-up to prove we're real Warrington fans. Though I guess I will just have to learn to live with these folks though (for as long as Warrington keep winning anyway) and acknowledge that other people enjoy the match experience in a different way that I do.

| Anyone who would report somebody to the club over something as trivial as setting off a flare is a busy body grass of the highest order and has no place in a working class sport such as rugby league.
If you don't like it by all means give the lad in question a clip round the ear and tell him to pack it in. If you aren't in the vicinity at the time but find out later that it was someone you know by all means have a word and tell him it didn't go down well.
However, if you would actually make a phone call to the club to report him then I hope I never meet your Tory self in person.
Back when rugby league was a true symbol of it's working class communities rather than some self marketed "family game" fans stood together and most important stuck together. Thatcher would be proud of how things have changed.

No fishing in my post. I hate the whole "stand-up if you love Wires" thing. I have to put up with it or alternatively go somewhere where I know I won't be affected by it.
As I said the flare thing is stupid beyond belief but the rest of the rubbish that goes with these kids then there has to be a cases of "live and let live". As one of them says they go every home and away game which not a lot can say.

| Is it really that bad? Get some perspective.
Although just a tip here; face forward and you might just see a match going on.

I assume that you are only talking about drunk teenagers, the drum or kids spending more time on their mobiles, rather than the setting off of a smoke device in a crowded public area.

| I go to games with that group you mention. You call us immature etc. etc. but to be honest I think you need to look at yourselves posting on this forum at all hours complaining about our set of supporters. My view on the situation is that you have clearly expressed your distaste for us and therefore won't contribute anything to our match day experience, even if we were to sing 'old school' songs. I enjoy my away trips to watch the Wire and therefore will continue going about business as usual, having a few scoops and a bit of a laugh and a sing. I couldn't care less if you wanted to go and stand at the other end of the ground, that's your choice, I choose to have a few drinks and sing darts songs. We all pay our money right? Referring back to the smoke bomb though... I don't agree with the whole idea and will express my/everyone's views at our next secret Warrington Ultras meeting.
