| Quote: Fatbelly "HY what are the best options if we are just staying overnight Oyster card wise.
We will be dropped off at Wembley on the Saturday then after the game make our way to Gloucester Road Tube. Then out for a meal & drink in the evening again using the Tube and the on the Sunday morning Gloucester Road back to Wembley.'"
Personally i wouldn't get ripped off by paying cash every time i travel, You get Oyster Cards from underground stations, £5 refundable deposit and then add what ever money you think you'll need, if at the end of your stay you hand your card in to the station with a receipt you'll get your fiver back plus what ever money you had on the card.
It saves you loads of money.

| Yes, Oyster Card covers Tube and Buses, and London Overground, it also carries a daily cap depending on which Zones you use and what you use.
If you use just the bus it's capped at £4.20 which means it only deducts £4.20 and after that technically free travel for the rest of that day.
But using the underground/overground changes the cap level from anything from £7-£15 depending.

| Doing the trip all in one day again. Going with Mrs Wire In Ashton and Mini Wire In Ashton, leaving about 6.30am on the Saturday, meeting up with a mate, his missus and daughter at Lymm Maccys and after a Double Sausage and Egg McMuffin meal, drive down to Wembley no doubt accompanied by the soundtrack to Peppa Pig. Sample the atmosphere beforehand, making sure we are at the entrance for when the team coach arrives. Watch the match, hopefully it will be a good experience for my daughter as it will be her first rugby match. Then straight home.

| Can confirm what Yed has said re the Oyster Card. It also means that you're not constantly queuing for tickets and from the major stations in London that can be murder. we just load ours up with £25 each time we go down to London and that lasts us the entire weekend.

| We are in an 8 seater mini bus leaving Warry at 2pm (ish) on Friday afternoon, travel down to Beaconsfield - 2 nights in the travel lodge - come back Sunday (probably miss the parade to protect the mini bus drivers licence).
In 2009 went to the roller disco bar - where the coach come in (great atmosphere) 2010 went to the Green Man (suggested by an ex friend lol) not as good, all Leeds fans.. This year the skates are back on..lol. Block 507 - £31..
Anyone know anything about Beaconsfield - places to go - stay away from etc?

Are you staying at the hotel at M40 J3? Near to Tesco. If so, you're pretty much closer to Wycombe than anywhere else. There's some lovely restaurants in Marlow aswell

| 6am start, car down to Wycombe and park at the train station (£4 for the day). A full English somewhere in the town centre, then the train to Wembley for some pre-match merryment. Then home via the same route

Staying at travel Lodge wembley friday and saturday night, Hopefully get into london centre friday night for a good drink and soak up the eve of the big day. Have stayed at the wembley travel lodge before and it isnt too far from the stadium plus there is good parking facilities.

Beaconsfield is really nice. There's an old town which is the nearest to you if you're staying at the services plus a new town down the hill. You couldn't really go wrong with either - there is a cheesy nightclub in the new town opposite Sainsbury's. There's a nice pub called the Royal Saracens Head in the Old Town - not been to some of the others for years but The Swan looks OK. There's also Pizza Express (Old Town) and the like in both the new and old bits.
You're also not that far from Slough or Windsor if you want to go further afield. To be honest I'd stick with Beaconsfield - I'm sure a group of you will have a good laugh there and not have far to travel / be easier going etc.
Have fun - I'd be interested to know how you get on so post your trip report!
