wire will be able to match if not better what he is on at cas we have a few players leaving the club who will be on a lot of money so there will be no problem with salary.

All this talk of fantastic transfer fees seems to me to be ridiculous considering all the talent we already have within the club .At present we seem to have talent oozing through every blade of grass on the pitch so do we really need to have the services of an obvious journeyman who has now decided that he wants to look for a crock of gold & renege on a five year deal which obviously suited him at the time of signing.

Agreed it maybe no problem to pay his salary, but it has to fit under the salary cap for the squad. That could well be an issue.

NL1 champions elect 2007 NL1 Champs 2005 JULIEN RINALDI IS A CAS FAN Allez Les Catalans:5525.jpg

Quote: mikej "The problem that Cas have is to try and convince a young lad to give his all, week-in, week-out when he obviously wants out a the club.'"

A hometown lad, Who is a fan of the club ?

Daz is a professional, If he wants to be petty, And throw the next 4 and half years of his career away. Thats up to him, He will never make international honours. I am rather sure, he will put his head down and show the world what a talent he is.

I have no doubt this kid is the real deal, And if someone paid 500k for him. They would still be getting a great deal.

Fwiw though. He signed his new contract at Cas. That put him on a large deal for a 19yo. Cas understood the importance of tieing him down to a massive contract. So i would be surprised if you could pay him more than we could with the Salary Cap

My point was that Wire probably won't ]want] to match the money he is on at Cas, he wouldn't be as important to you as he is to us. There will be a few players in the Warrington squad asking questions about their salary if Clark is given the money he is on at Cas.
I would imagine that he is paid more than most of the current Warrington squad.

Aye, would be almost as good as Danny Houghton.

How do Castleford get away with paying these kind of salaries? Surely the salary cap police must be on to them. Wasn't Richie Myler made the best paid player in history when he joined us?

Have you seen the rest of our squad apart from Clark and Chase? I wouldn't pay them in washers.

Good to see Wire continue with their poicy of signing up the best young players from the smaller clubs, and then complain that the league isn't strong enough/too many teams etc. icon_rolleyes.gif
